Stray Kids "Back Door" is No. 8 in the 10 Best Songs of 2020 by TIME Magazine !

Contemporary pop out of Korea is almost impossible to classify today. “Back Door,” from Stray Kids, is a prime example: there’s not a single musical style it doesn’t exuberantly co-opt, in an artful Frankenstein that’s as catchy as it is complex. There are dramatic airhorns, slinky R&B breaks, jazz interludes, a trap chorus, electronic beats that would rile up festival crowds and others more likely to be found in underground clubs. It’s hard not to become enraptured by the song’s sheer bravado—both in its multi-layered production and the brassy energy of the eight performers. Stray Kids, who debuted just three years ago, are the latest act poised to break out in an increasingly globalized and free-wheeling pop industry, one that South Korea in particular has been eagerly pioneering. That “Back Door” starts and ends on a cheeky note in English—”Hey, you wanna come in?”—only drives home its willingness to welcome everyone into the fold.

i actually didn't like god's menu that much, so i'm glad they chose back door. god's menu is a good song, all their songs are good, but i feel like it's basically much ado about nothing.

I'm constantly back and forth between which song I like better between this and God's Menu but honestly their full album this year is my favorite offering of any bg in a long while. They're really finding their footing and color as a group and it's a joy to watch.

Also I watched their Beyond Live concert this weekend and it was really great they're such excellent performers. Definitely the best of the online concerts I've seen so far this year (and I'm not just saying that because it was the only one I've paid for lmfao)

Nice pick, it's actually one of the few boy group songs I've really enjoyed this year lmao. It's not in my personal top 10 of 2020 (I've already started doing my lists btw) but I can see why they picked it.
