i don't think bighit is involved in gfriend's music production? i thought their vocals in apple were all pretty distinct, i can tell all the voices apart when i'm listening to the song. it's not nearly as bad as it is with bts/txt.
It was Apple “hitman”-bang played a part, on their upcoming new song they’re not involved. but now that Source is under Big Hit, they’ve helped with at least two songs so far that I know of

Yeah I definitely noticed the difference - they've always had very clear, unadored vocals but with apple they sounded too low in the mix and slightly tuned

But with idol content being so atomized now, maybe they figured that it’s mostly fans watching/listening to groups anyways so they might as well prioritize more fan-getting looks/personality/charisma and who cares if they can actually sing
