As much as JYP makes my skin crawl, his voice fits perfectly in this genre and I'm a sucker for 80's pop/funk. Sunmi sounded wonderful and it looked like she had fun and for that reason I don't mind enjoying the song, I look forward to a MV BTS I bet it was really fun to film.
Fuck it I'm just gonna say it, I loved this song I don't care. I loved everything about it, the cheesy lyrics, the dance, and even the storyline in the MV was kinda cute. It's definitely going on my Spotify playlist ASAP.

This was nice. I like that he is still active as an artist himself, he has a really nice distinctive voice actually.And what can I say about Sunmi. She is amazing as always, one of the best solo artists currently active.

I'm also appreciative of the fact that while the story line/lyrics allude to a romance there was nothing really creepy in the MV like weird hugs/kisses. The pose at the end doesn't appear to have them actually touching each other physically.

I was a bit creeped out by how they were seemingly portraying the relationship in the MV considering JYP is like Sunmi’s mentor. And damn JYP is not easy to the eyes.

Now that the negatives are out, the song is surprisingly above my expectations. I didn’t expect Sunmi to feature so heavily so it’s a big plus. The aesthetic was nice and the dance seems fun!

this is really fun and it's interesting to hear Sunmi produced by JYP again after releasing so much solo material. I prefer the production on her voice in her solo stuff it feels more dynamic to this.

I see what you mean. I feel like there were other ways to play this off - Sunmi singing as a narrator type and having an actress play the long lost love role, the two are performing duo that got separated but reunite (no romance involved, just excited to performing together again), etc - but him yearning for her eh I know it’s for an MV but as you said, Sunmi known him since she was a teen and he’s a mentor. It feels really off.
