thinking about how her voice used to sound at their debut -> how she sounds in this teaser makes my heart full <3 dara will never have the pipes of cl/minzy/bom but her voice has matured so beautifully!
if cl truly comes out with new music soon then all we need is a bom release and we'll have the full 2ne1 solo experience which would be INCREDIBLE
She improved a lot, and I'm glad to see her active But if we're being honest she's cashing on the nostalgia factor (her voice isn't good enough to warrant solo song) I'm still gonna listen to it a lot, but yeah
It's not a bad thing, she gets money good for her But I think it's fair to admit that somone like her wouldn't be able to release a song without the 2ne1 nostalgia factor She's not a good singer, she really isn't. She's no longer a bad singer (she used to be but she did improve a lot) I see a ot of fan saying she's amazing, talented singer, ... and no. She's amazing, but a talented singer she is not
I'm not mad at it, Dara was my fave member, but I do think her career lies elsewhere (being a tv host,doing variety...)
You're totally right and I think it actually sucks that idols are not only expected to be capable of everything, they're also expected to be amazing at everything. kpop stans would try to bash celine dion for not hitting the choreo hard enough
She sounds absolutely wonderful actually, I am very surprised at this! If she can do this live she obviously received extensive vocal training because her voice doesn't sound as 'empty' as it did before. I always liked her tone so I think this will be cool.
I hope she leaves YG once her contract is up. She can definitely go solo, she has the charisma and let's be real there are many active solo artists that don't have stunning vocal talents.
