Twice Possibly Back With New Album in October

TWICE is making another comeback!

On August 5, Sports Chosun reported that TWICE is getting ready to make a comeback in October.

A source from JYP Entertainment clarified to Newsen, “It is true that TWICE is preparing a new album. We will announce the details of the comeback schedule once they are confirmed.”

If TWICE makes their return in October, this will be their first comeback in four months since “MORE & MORE” in June. (OP: Sooooo long ago lol)

Meanwhile, TWICE is gearing up to greet fans through the online concert “Beyond LIVE – TWICE: World in A Day,” which takes place on August 9 at 3 p.m. KST via V Live. The group was also recently confirmed to perform at the 2020 Soribada Best K-Music Awards on August 13. (OP: they won the Most Popular Female Award or something so thats a big reason why they’re there)

What kind of concept are you anticipating from TWICE in their next comeback?

For some reason I’m surprised, I thought maybe November 😯 hopefully it’s a full album, but if it’s another mini with 7 new songs I’m not mad

Twice debuted in October of 2015 so I'm assuming that JYPE wanted to mark their five-year anniversary with a comeback. Though with it seeming to be intentional something will probably cause the comeback to be delayed lol.

Ahhh yes their 5 year anniversary! That would be really cool if they did something for that, but looking at other artists anniversaries and how they’re treated I won’t get my hopes up lol

I’m used to October being a regular release month for them from 2015-2017, but things have been changing up since then so I thought November would give them more time since they literally just had a comeback. But if they are hoping to do it for a 5 year anniversary, that makes sense they want to attempt for October again. More reason to give them a full album JYPE!

Yeah, I doubt it will be anything big to celebrate but I'm sure that it will be mentioned in some way. Maybe a special performance of Like Ooh-Ahh on one of the music shows or something else that's not particularly complicated. They probably just would have had an anniversary fan meet if it weren't for COVID-19.

Oh and also random but related to Twice - Sana has been hanging out with WJSN’s Yeonjung, (g)idle’s Miyeon, and Gfriend’s Eunha lately. Yes to more idol friendships! :)))

Also it was cute on one of their V-lives seeing Momo and Sana listening to SNSD and Sana trying to call IZ*ONE’s Chaeyeon and dialed a stranger instead. Oops lol

Plus with the Soribada awards, that’s one of the shows they shouted ‘Mina we won an award!’ since she was on her hiatus, so it’ll be nice that all 9 girls will be there to receive it.

2019 was such a great year for them, I’d like them to channel that vibe again

I do enjoy More & More but I like it as ‘Twice trying something different’ type of way. So they get it out of their system 😂 if Twice continues more songs in that sound, I won’t be too happy. We don’t need any more demos from 2016/17 that sound like they were ripped right out of those years. Twice excels imo since their music is very kpop, M&M was too modern western music so any group could’ve easily put it out.

I’m kinda bummed JYP is putting out the disco song because I think TWICE doing disco could’ve been really cool! But I doubt they’d do the same concept.

I ended up buying lol. It’ll be my first online concert so I can see if they’re worth it or not. I’m excited!

It was confusing though buying through the website that wasn’t v-live. I was going to do the Sana option since I guess you get more camera focus on your bias (I guess that’s what fans said who have done these before), but when I went to buy they were still charging me a shipping option. This is all digital, so what is being shipped out? Plus with shipping being $30ish dollars, I was like nope. Not that option.

Plus I’m hoping the camera focus stuff will leak and I can end up seeing it on Instagram 😅

I don’t even know about all that camera focus stuff and since it’s my first online concert, I just made sure to follow their tutorial LOL. For some reason I ended up paying $7 AUD more than my friend and I have zero idea why.

Also I think it’s funny how they posted tutorials how to buy tickets. It’s cute lol but I laugh at the comments saying ‘we know how to buy tickets, what we need is money! We’re broke!’ 😂

(Disclaimer - I’m assuming these are kids who have limited money in general because of their age. If they’re older and can’t afford because their job was affected by COVID-19, I’m definitely not laughing at them 🙁)

Another busy year for Twice I guess
I wonder if this will be another mini? I would love a full-length album but there hasn't been many time between More & More and this one to prepare, and they had a Japanese release in the middle of it.

Fancy and especially Feel Special were so good and then they gave us More and More 🙄 I’m absolutely not opposed to more cute concepts but I’m just hoping song quality wise it’s up there with the first two songs I mentioned

Oh and for the concept and teasers for next comeback - they gotta step it up. More & More’s is probably my least favorite, sure the girls look lovely but the flower girl turned Coachella/festival girl look really isn’t for me. I loved the tacky outfits of Fancy/Feel Special. I just hope whatever they do next, the concept around it is more interesting.

Actually since it’s in October - stick to your roots Twice!!! Bring back the zombies!!! Or something Halloween related, pretty pleaseeeee

Fancy’s neon was so much fun!!! And IA completely. Some of those boho-chic outfits looked way too simple on stage. I’m cool with them for everyday wear or for smaller/less famous groups, but for a big 3 company like JYP those outfits were too basic, they didn’t look interesting enough.

(Though they’ve had simpler outfits on stage before easily but they were much more appealing than M&M’s. Like Heart Shakers white top and jeans combo I’d take in a heartbeat lol. Also I have to keep in mind the simple outfits I think worked when they were all teenagers, but now that they’re all in their early 20s I’d like more interesting outfits.)

the boho looks just...unfinished to me. I prefer polished. White top and jeans looks polished and classy. the boho outfits look like they asked the stylists to find bright color patterns with lots of fringe adn they kept adding belts and accessories until the girls went on stage. Not a fan.

I'm picturing like...SNSD Run Devil Run outfits/concept. Not dark per se but more covered and yet sexy. Womanly sexy and not childish (we have ITZY and NiziU who can be childish). And when I say Sexy I don't mean like...boob cut outs or thigh high boots, but just more mature and confident looks. Do I even make sense? haha!
