Hitting someone with my car is one of my worst fears. I never wanted to get my drivers license and even if it was an accident I doubt I would be able to drive again

I was about to get mine. Now I’m scared again. I have adhd and autism so I’m often told by one therapist (that specializes in my condition) that I should never drive while the social worker is pressuring me to grow up and drive “cause it’s easy”

But this scares me. My heart fell reading it. That poor pedestrian.

Do what feels right for you and don’t let that social worker pressure you into anything. Driving isn’t “easy” for everyone and as a social worker they should know that!

contrary to what most of society believes, driving is not for everyone! you have to do what's right and best for you<3 ignore anyone who pressures and clearly doesn't have your best interest at heart

what does the #teampinky tag mean? i previously assumed it was some joke but its use here is making me think that's not it...

I don't know exactly how it works but if there are hashtags in the post, they'll automatically be added in the tags. Like here, one of the tweets has the hashtag #teampinky in it, hence why it's in the post's tags.

Yea it's something to do with the coding, unsure if it's LJ or the comms theme and you can't remove them if they're in the tags which is annoying.

they were trying really hard to essentially blame the pedestrian by saying the person was jaywalking (not walking across the street at the designated areas). I mean, I feel bad for the pedestrian, but at the same time, if Seulong was sober and paying attention and someone random walked out from behind a car or something then I could understand. Accidents do happen. It still sucks especially as the person didn't survive. In car vs person, car wins.

RIP, roads in Korea are pretty scary though like the traffic lights are not exactly safe so I usually take with a pinch of salt when they talk about pedestrians not being careful

this is so, so tragic. i got into an accident about five years ago (not my fault) and since then i've only driven a handful of times. you really have to account for every possibility when you're driving and it's so fucking stressful.

the roads in korea are honestly scary as a driver/passenger and as a pedestrian. both times i've gone i hated crossing the street because drivers will inch into the crosswalk as you're stepping off the sidewalk like hello!! i'm right here!!
