I always thought it was more because her personality/brand matching what Korea thinks a rapper would act like vs a singer. She's pretty boisterous and straightforward and that personality doesn't really jive with how Korea views a popstar or ballad singer. And I think Jessi likes leaning into that bad bitch persona.
When Heize was on Unpretty she was trying to be a bit tougher too. But before and after, her music was more vocal-based and emotion-focused because that's the kind of music she wants to make. I feel like if Jessi really wanted to be a singer, she would have used her attention after Unpretty and made more songs as a vocalist.
Jessi has some gorgeous vocal tracks! I love her loud and OTT sound but her vocal stuff is really cool too.
Her 2018 single Down (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ISa82d_hcs) isn't my favourite but it's another lovely vocal performance, and she did a cover of Crush's Digital Lover (https://youtu.be/Sm6WAF_8aak) that's really nice. and judging by this medley (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SxWEx3BTkjc) she just released a few days ago her b-sides for Nunu Nana sound like they're vocal-based too.
I like this a lot, it's fun and I like the hook. I am a bit sad that it's not a proper Hyori feature but then Jessi probably would have overpowered her anyway!
Jessi is a great singer, I love her song 'Excessive Love'. She has such a nice unique raspy voice that you don't hear a lot in Korea.

Depending on what you get injected, yes you can get them dissolved. The most common stuff used for injections can be dissolved using hyaluronidase which is an enzyme that targets hyaluronic acid which most fillers are composed of.

Hyori brought it up on How Do You Play. Everyone wanted to do solo songs and she was like, "then I'll just do a girl group on my own." She mentioned Jung Hwa, Jessi, and Hwasa, and said it was going to be this strong girl group called Refund Sisters or something.
She mentioned it kind of as a joke but ended up mentioning more than once, so it'll probably happen as a one-off project.
Never been a fan of her and probably will never become one. I just can't with her whole CA schtick and her husky voice, it sounds better when she's singing but her rapping is so awful... You can hear that she smokes a lot, girl just stop damaging your voice.

I mean this video, her last album having ca plus it being promoted as her like anti/the velvet rope but it just showed how artistically bankrupt she is like she needs to hang it up.
The whole album only had four listenable songs on it including the one that was basically cover. Plus that particular performance she ripped off fka twigs and no one really talked about it at the time
