On Wednesday night, a former employee lodged a complaint for sexual harassement. This employee declared to the police she wasn't the only one he sexually harassed. The day after, Park Won-Soon left his house and never returned. His daughter gave the alert.

Between 2011 and 2018 - under Park's mayorship - there were 16 Seoul city government employees who committed suicide, seemingly from overwork and stress. Under the banner of better city welfare and governance, labor abuses were ongoing.

I'm not sure if "sexual harassment" is the right term because some medias talk about "sexual assault" but the Korean authorities still haven't clarified (will they ?). Good riddance to this coward. I truly hope his last victim won't feel guilty.

oh i saw some news outlets reporting on his missing earlier today, i already had my suspicions.

but it's really like the tweets say: when things like this happen there's nothing much left to say

it's really unfortunate for the (alleged) victims, it means they will never see any form of justice (unless him not being alive anymore is your sense of justice)

interesting... everybody knows most of the time sexual crimes in korea dont get persecuted or even a proper investigation but we still see those guys who prefer to die before getting involved in the bare minimun korean justice will try to do


i guess there's some kind of stadistics showing how many of korean sexual crimes trials come to an end because the accused commited suicide .. i bet its weirdly high compared to the rest of the world, when you read korean news it does give you that impression

With Seoul Mayor Park Won-soon confirmed dead, the complaint filed against him accusing him of continuous sexual harassment has also ended.

Also, this is already the second mayor from a major Korean city that was accused of sexual harassment this year, Busan's mayor resigned in April
