The pictures from the press call with the four of them posing were SO CUTE
You can tell Shin Joo Hyup is the musical actor out of the four, he has the most onstage power and presence of the four, but he's made it work for a role like this which is more designed for a pop-style performance. Jo Kwon is totally in his element, I meant to post the soompi article where he talked about how excited he was to audition and how he felt like this was the role of a lifetime <3 It's so so nice to see Ren in this environment, he is absolutely the successor to Jo Kwon's legacy and we love to see him continuing to embrace himself and seek out roles and work that align with who he is. I was completely unfamiliar with MJ and Astro but he's such a good performer! From what I understand this is his first musical, like Ren, and he's so good, I hope he gets to do more!
People should really check out the other numbers, I'm amazed that they straight up uploaded most of the musical but now I see that that seems to be a thing these days? This song had everyone in the theatre bawling when I saw it in London. Also I love that they kept the set which places the band in an upper floor classroom (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AiN7lIZwhuQ), I love sets that have the band onstage and this is a really clever way of doing it.
they all looked so good for the vogue photoshoot! i had meant to put together a post with the pics, but i kept forgetting. the photos were so nice too!
jo kwon seems build for this. i've seen so many 2AM live stages because of the flashback friday posts, and they just stand there and sing lol. but he has this fun energy, and it's just nice to see him on stage like this.
i just got into astro a few months ago, but MJ is sunshine! maybe a total chaotic sunshine lol, but sunshine nevertheless!
I think they are all doing a great job, but I really believe this role was made for Jo-Kwon he really is one with the character! Maybe because I have seen him in other variety shows and he really does know how to entertain!
