Nancy Lang eats… cat ears?

Pop artist Nancy Lang (yes, the crazy one that walks around with a stuffed cat on her shoulder) proved just how far she’ll go for the love of cats on the latest episode of Sponge.
The most recent episode of KBS 2TV’s Sponge, which aired on February 19th, featured exotic foods from China. Of all the dishes that were presented, the dish that drew the most attention was a stew containing a cat’s ears.
Nancy Lang, who had no idea what the dish was, exclaimed during the tasting, “The stew is warm and delicious. It almost tastes like soojaebi [traditional Korean soup made with flour dough and vegetables].”
When the producers asked her to guess the identity of the dish again, Nancy Lang stated, “I don’t think it’s flour,” as she continued to relish the dish. And finally, when the dish’s identity was revealed, Nancy Lang, of course, had an epileptic seizure of epic proportions!
Other exciting dishes featured on that day also included a watermelon stuffed with a whole chicken.
Do you think the guilt from eating cat’s ears will finally make Nancy Lang remove that cat from her shoulder? Only time will tell.
And for those of you who can’t quite place where you might have seen her, she’s appeared on several episodes of Strong Heart and Golden Bell. She quickly rose to fame when she performed Lost Dream at the 2003 Venice Biennale. In her trademark art series entitled, Taboo Yogini, she put together characters such as a a robot figure wearing a huge wig and toting a gun or a Louis Vuitton bag in a back drop of Chanel lipsticks and other luxury goods.
Check out some of her artwork below.
