VeriVery's perf was kinda embarrassing for what it was (even concept aside) and PTG's was a version of CUBE branded ~ethnic hip so I'm really disappointed by them.

Honestly I get that VeriVerys was very high school theatre but it was so unabashedly fun that I can forgive its faults.This show has been sorely lacking in some levity.
And tbh I went into this show with high hopes for Pentagon but I haven't really been wowed by any of their stages especially not this one. I think Hui needa a break,he seems very burnt out from the behind the scenes clips

Hui's been carrying PTG since before Shine musically tbh he needs a vacation, CUBE can't expect him to write and produce all the titles the group releases and write for others. I hate that this is one more disappointment for them if they don't get through since they always are coming up short but this stage wasn't worth advancing

What I've noticed was that while other groups were hiring outside help, it seems that Pentagon just have themselves. That's putting them at a severe disadvantage, and people don't care how "self-sufficient" a group is when they don't like the product.

I've mentioned in another post that while I thought their performances were very good, they looked cheap in comparison to the other stages. Even the costumes looked low budget.

that's just the edit, tho. each of the groups has a choreographer behind them, and pentagon has been working w/ jinstar. like kino & other members may be contributing but there's studios behind them all, too—it's just that the show has only highlighted some of them

I'm ngl, its been pretty irritating as a TBZ fan to see MNET only highlight their staff so much and it wasn't till episode 7 till we saw their involvement in the creative process.now people think they're just pretty boys with no input and they're winning because of their expensive choreographer

Really? It seemed to me that TBZ came up with all the ideas, but left the more intensive work for people who were hired for that role. Smart, considering the time constraints.

That's a relief, because it looked their company was helping them less than they should. I was thinking that Cube was just using their own people as opposed to hiring outside. That edit didn't lend well to either of them. I still think that they could be a bit more hands off, as they seem creativity stunted. That pharaoh "concept" was sad and culturally confusing.

i think i got spoiled by all of the boyz performances so far that when i saw shangri-la i have to admit i was pretty disappointed. the heroine cover and onf's it's raining were my favs from round 3 overall.

i still am hoping both groups make the lineup but i'm not gonna hold my breath. i still think it'll just be the boyz in the end but then again mnet loves to do whatever the hell they want so maybe i'll get lucky. either way i'm so extremely proud of everything onf has accomplished and am glad people are finally realizing their potential as a group. they're even getting irrational hate on twitter now which is a sure sign of success so let's continue to piss off teenagers and soar even higher :)))).

i dont understand when veri very said their perf is one take? isn't all the performances so far, at least mostly are one take. i remembered that there was one or two camera cut for the boyz' catching fire, but i thought kinda the concept of this show is to make the performances continuous and taken in one shot

No, most performances have several cameras from different angles.
Veri Very only used one camera the whole time, that's a one take stage.

As I mentioned in the other post, Verivery's perf was the sloppiest perf I've seen in the whole show.
Questionable concepts from some groups.

The Boyz did the best as expected, they have been my fave from ep 1. They truly just know how to plan and put on a show, their performance made me smile.

I don't like any of these songs, there's nothing impressive in them. But then again I don't enjoy any of the songs these groups release, I'm just here to see their talent and performances.

i think im the only one here who likes ptg's follow lol. but it's not their best stage really. lately, they seem desperate and stagnant. their shine + spring snow performance is the only perf i enjoyed from them. onf's it's raining is lighter compared to follow so it's the only perf that i keep repeating. (im only keeping up with ptg and onf)

i really want to get into the boyz but the fans are making it hard for me :) i know we must separate the fans from the group but i can't help it if they keep comparing the boyz from the rest of groups and bully them.

the boyz really doesnt disappoint. their choreo team really came out with great concepts and the boys always executed it very well. I like it's raining's arrangement the most and i liked their performance the most too before i watched the boyz'. and i appreciate that few groups do different concepts and not just strong dark performances this time. also appreciate pentagon for singing live.

as someone who knows nothing about the boyz i was honestly wowed by this performance. holy shit. that was great.

I loved ONF too, I'm glad they didn't rely on the props too much and just performed. Let the charisma talk, you know what I'm saying?

as a uni i'm incredibly embarrassed by ptgs performances on rtk. I do commend them for the live singing and doing their own choreography (even if it sucks; sorry kino)
