omonatheydidHappy Friday everyone! Every week I go through the charts for this day in the past and share the top three songs. Then I pick out two more songs from the top ten as honorable mentions. This week, we will go back to the 4th week of May, 2011. All the songs have been posted before, so we’ll see some live stages this week. Stay safe, Omona.
#3 Lim Jeong Hee “Golden Lady”
I remember this, but I remember the MV more than the song, though. It stared G.Na. The song also features a rap by Hyuna, but she didn’t make any appearances on the music shows. This was a good year for her, she released this album, and started doing musicals. She also worked with both Brian McKnight and Big Boi from Outkast. I know…like say what?
#2 Sistar19 “Ma Boy”
Sistar19 was Sistar’s only subunit, and this was their debut song. Still one of my ultimate fav Sistar jams. This time, we’ll check out “Ma Boy (special version)”, which was included in Sistar’s “So Cool” album. It’s a special version because it features all the Sistar members instead of just the subunit. Here’s the full group doing the song in 2012.
#1 f(x) “Pinocchio (Danger)”
This was the lead single off of their album of the same name. I kind of remember this song. Definitely not the first song I think of at first mention of the group though. They would follow this up a few months later with the “Hot Summer” repackage. Here are the girls at SBS Gayo that year.
Honorable Mentions
#8 Beast “Fiction”
This is the song that I probably think of first when it comes to Beast. It’s the shuffley feet dance, I’ll always remember those shuffley feet lol. Two songs from the “Fiction And Fact” would do quite well on the charts, this one and “On Rainy Days”.
#9 Park Bom “Don’t Cry”
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. Her solos charted so well, sold so well, and it’s a damn shame that only two of them were released during her entire time at YG. Because we know there are plenty more down in the big ‘ol basement that never got to see the light of day. Here’s Bommie doing the song with a live band for YG on Air.
