lol 2001 is becoming old news with debuting ages, a lot of maknaes these days are 02/03/04! I'm in the ~around ten years older~ than them bracket so I'm long over it I suppose.
In terms of general kpop they're just another new group, but they've got attention from certain pockets of the kpop fandom as most of the members (4/5) are going to be ex-members of now-disbanded group, Good Day. Another 5 of those members recently debuted in cignature. The situation behind the disbandment and split is unknown, so a lot of people are interested in the redebuts.
ah. noted. Just looked up Good day. I remember that song Rolly! It was fun. The dance looks tiresome. Lots of bouncing.
I am also 10+ years older than all these idols. the late 90s kiddos I was ok with. but now. ugh. Is there a point where you become too old for kpop? haha!
yeah, the good day choreographies were great. two of this group are two of good day's stronger dancers, chaea (cherry in good day) and vocal nayoon, whose stage name is yet to be revealed (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f_LKeZm_bPs).
Before it used to freak me out but it's just the way it is - I've definitely changed what I'm into r.e kpop and have followed artists that are a similar age to me along their career path, a lot of them into solos or becoming actresses. But so far I still enjoy girl groups.
Ahhhh so glad to see Bomin and Cherry were confirmed!! I’m gonna miss Cherry as a name, mostly because I think it fits in perfectly for a group with Red in it's name lol - but I think Chaea works better as an actual name. Bomin has grown up so much! But it makes sense as she was so young when Good Day debuted
