Stray Kids has gifted fans with a special single on their second anniversary! On March 25 at 6 p.m. KST, the group released “Mixtape : On Track” as the second single of their “Mixtape Project,” which started in December with “Mixtape : Gone Days.”

Member Changbin participated in the composition and lyrics for the song, which expresses taking courage to chase one’s dreams again.

yeah honestly he was my least favourite and i almost don't notice that he's gone......i did like his voice but he was getting even fewer lines in the songs before he left so it's not like there's much missing

i have to wonder if some stays were mentioning woojin non stop, wishing he were back and this is his way of trying to let them know it’s time to move on so please stop including him in our narrative.

he seems very hurt/angry but also as diplomatic as he can be without going into tmi territory (sorta..idk)
it must be especially difficult to be a leader in these circumstances

My guess is simply based on what he said in his little note and from this; Woojin had been contemplating leaving for a while, and so he jumped ship. I think he maybe didn't think too hard about what he TRULY wanted out of his future, like maybe he wanted to be a singer, and ended up as an idol, but realized overtime he didn't like being an idol, but kept going down the idol path until he had enough? and left. Maybe he struggled with his own selfish wants and desires over satisfying the people around him and upholding promises - so maybe that's why he hung onto SKZ for so long until he realized he just had to cut ties. Idk tho~

I'm also super curious too about more details of what went down - like Chan said he "made a lot of mistakes". What were these mistakes? Sounds like Woojin did a lot of things leading up to his departure? I'd love to know but I also know it's not my place and it isn't good to spread rumors, but damn that doesn't stop my curiosity, so I feel u.

daaaamn he does NOT sound impressed. and the "stays know what i'm talking about" with that :| expression really sells it. whatever happened must have been bad.

he says "it's okay to make mistakes" so clearly whatever happened wasn't that bad, but he really emphasises thinking about other people's reactions to what you do. the reaction was clearly not good.

The song didn't completely catch me, I'm sure with time tho i'll grow to like it. I did like the first 20 seconds which was the bit that Chan spoiled in one of his Vlives - the spoil was just a demo that had Changbin singing all 20 seconds, instead of Changbin then Hyunjin. Changbin singing is always a treat, so i'm glad they kept that first line to him. Either way, I still liked the slow cute atmosphere of the song.

The MV is cute and fun, a classic school romance drama mv~. I'm definitely interested in this "to be continued" bit. Can't wait to see more of how this story develops. Especially how I.N. plays into it more as well as who the girl ends up liking.

Also that clip... Overall, Stays seem to think the best of Chan, that he was trying to be as diplomatic as he can be, but also honest and that he doesn't want anyone to take sides. I definitely hope that that's true, that he was trying to be respectful and shit, but to publicly call someone selfish and say that they betrayed you, even while trying to say "its ok to make mistakes", even when not naming the exact name (altho being real obvious about who it is), it reads like he's hurt. And you know that some ppl will be swayed by that and be upset with the person who hurt him. However, idk Chan's intentions so maybe he was trying his best to be subtle and respectful, but it didn't land in my eyes.

Also, fans are happy that he was honest and open about this. They didn't expect him to say anything about it, but are happy he feels comfortable enough to talk about it. And honestly, it's great when idols can be honest and open, but I feel like, discretion would've been better? He has every right to speak his feelings, he doesn't have to be perfect, but also anything a public figure says can be used against them. He has a fanbase who will defend him, he has a platform to influence others, so like any person with influence, he has to be careful about what he says. And i think especially in this situation - a "fight" or i guess separation? between two public figures - I feel like the best route is to respect the other person and not bring it up in public? Idk tho, it just shocked me how he brought it up. I think he should've been more careful in what he said, but it is kinda nice to hear a little bit more about it.

What do you guys think about that - should idols be more honest or will that ultimately just hurt them and they should be more careful and discrete? I'm so back and forth with this - I like the honesty, but can easily see how it can hurt them so I understand the discretion.

I do agree with you that the best possible route is maybe to not bring this up at all. I keep going back and forth in my mind as well. Because I think people keep bringing it up whenever they can so I feel like that would make most anyone want to say something to get people to stop and move on. Ugh, but even though I'm not someone who has been making those comments I'll find myself scrolling through tweets and posts because although I get that its not my business I just get so curious and I want to know!

But in general I feel like its best not to discuss these things until alot of time and healing on both sides have passed. Chan did still sound hurt, and he used the words betrayed and selfish, which if he felt that way then he's got a right to, but it may not have been good to address things so soon. I dont think he meant to start anything, but like you said, he has influence, and should know that this might cast some negative light on the opposing side.

Chan should've just had a real good crying session with nichkhun like JB apparently had when he was going through some hard time being a leader and stuff

Yeah i'm glad i'm not a public figure either. Like in general we should all be careful about what we say, but a public figure i think has to deal with this 1000x worse - so much more scrutiny on them. I don't envy them for that.

I think I get what ur saying, I also am of course very curious about what happened between SKZ and Woojin, I wonder why he left, what went down, but like u said too I know its not my business and it's between them. I think it's best for both parties to give their official little statements then give fans the time to process and heal - as well as themselves to process and heal. I also do think its pretty rude that some ppl have left "ot9" comments on their posts. People really should move on. Support Woojin if you want to, but respect that its 8 now. I say this as someone who was a fan of EXO when the 3 left, it's better to realize sooner rather than later that Woojin is gone, and to support whoever u want now. Just don't base ur support on "X wronged Y, so i'm supporting Y" or w/e - whatever happened between them is none of our concern. Support should be given to whoever u like, whoever u vibe with musically, imo. Anyways, this is a whole other can of worms, isn't it? lol.

I do agree with u - there needs to be a lot more time and healing before bringing it up again - if u do bring it up again at all. It's been like 5 months and although that might be sort of a long time, it really depends. Like u said, he used "betrayed" and "selfish" so it might not have been good to address it so soon. He might still need time to heal. I feel like if any person wants to talk about this type of public separation, they should, but the person has to be careful in order to be respectful to the other person. Which is why I understand why many ppl just end up not saying anything and being discrete about it - its sometimes better to say nothing at all. Heyyy!~~ lol I'm too lazy to change my profile pic and part of me refuses to do so anyway because MBLAQ were one of my first favorite kpop groups. I have no idea what any of them are doing right now but I hope they're all happy and healthy. I feel like they also had kind of a messy ending?

Anyway, I agree with you on the reasons to support/continue listening to certain artists. I like Stray Kids' sound, both their older stuff and the noisy EDM based thing they've got going now haha. But Woojin was my favorite vocalist in the group, so I'll likely still follow him in his solo stuff.

Yeah I was into MBLAQ for a bit, but then i think around maybe Smoky Girl I tapered off from them into other groups. I think I still like checked over to see if there was any big news about them so I remember Joon and Thunder leaving and them enlisting vaguely. Not sure tho it's been so long - but really only recently I listened to Smoky Girl and Stay and Y recently and was like "man i miss this music" and so I looked into what they are doing a bit and I think Seungho is back from the military? maybe? and Mir has a youtube channel, so does G.O. with his wife? fiance? i forget now lol. Joon is acting. Idk what Thunder is doing? yeah. With Joon and Thunder leaving it was a bit messy, they did have a G.O./Seungho/Mir mini album with "Mirror" which i actually liked a lot. But yeah seems like they aren't really doing music much anymore? idk tho - haven't kept up too much, but I also hope the best for them~

I like SKZ's sound too. lol yeah I do like the EDM thing they got going on, I can see why not everyone would like it, but I do enjoy it~ And yeah like i understand ppl could be a lil bit swayed by Chan calling Woojin "selfish" and bringing up "betrayal", but that's his own personal feelings and his experience, not the fan's experience. I mean u can also feel upset and possibly "betrayed" because u thought he'd be in SKZ forever, but imo, its still woojin's career. it's a job in the end and if he wants to change his career path he has the right to? It definitely will hurt some people that made a promise with him, that relied on him, but i think for fans its just a matter of accepting the new reality? hmm idk its definitely a complicated situation- what is right? what is wrong? how are fans supposed to feel? idek lol. it makes me think a lot~

but yeah if u like his voice I def say go enjoy his new stuff! As a newer fan i have no real "connection" to him like some fans have, but I do think his voice is nice so i'll prob just casually check out his stuff. He definitely was one of the best vocalists in the group, so its sad to see that go, but its fun to see the other members step up and sing a little more. It always amazes me how 3racha can sing as well as rap - especially with Han hitting those high notes. I'm excited to see more of Seungmin taking on the main singing parts as well!
