It's mainly the personality. But isn't that how it goes sometimes for kpop singers? A lot of them don't sing/rap astoundingly well but they're pretty awesome to watch outside of that. Idk he's fucking weird. I love him.

Burst of love and popularity with his farmboy stories. He's so goddamn hyper and loud and YELLS like your annoying little brother, but then he reveals these stories about how sweet and hardworking he is and we all wibble together.
It tickles me pink! But more in a LOLTHISISCOOL as opposed to he's a really good rapper! Like the feat he was doing for was it Gavy NJ, I was really surprised at how good he sounded, more legitimate, for want of a better word, because we know how well some idol rappers actually rap.
Yeah it's certainly not the usual raps that most people seem to do but it's not necessarily a bad thing. I don't usually like raps but strangely, I really like oh yeah's rap parts.
Yeah in the idol world at least many of the raps are annoying since they're so hell-bent on sticking rappers into every group and a lot of them are suckish at it. IMO Oh Yeah's rap parts are just fun as opposed to good rapping, like Thunder's bit is awesome because of what the other 4 are doing at the side. :p
