I bet you thought I forgot about this series, didn’t you? Well, you’re totally right lol. I should probably set up a reminder or something. It's not the first of the month, but I figured a lot of us are stuck at home, might as well bring this series back again so we can all have a nice chat.


Your first female bias. The first one that you got the hearteyes for. Was it their talent on stage? Amazing voice or dance skills? Or even off stage…is she variety gold? Maybe it was their style or their attitude. Maybe a little bit of all of the above and much more.




This one was a little hard on me, because I could think of a few. But ultimately the one that I adored the most is Park Bom. I knew who she was because of those early pre-debut collabs with GD&TOP (GDTOPBOM SINCE 2006!), but I didn’t fall in love with Bom until 2NE1TV kept showing up in my recommended videos. All it took was a few of those episodes.

I am also 100% convinced that she’s probably beat up most of the males at YG Entertainment and I’m okay with that. "I won't accept him even if you give him to me" is my favorite Winner takedown besides Haru's "Where?".

BoA is my first bias.

I don't really remember what was my FIRST exposure to BoA, although I know it was after Kingdom Hearts came out and I was obsessed with learning about Utada and others like her. My best friend suggested Ayu and BoA.

I know the moment that I saw Jewel Song for the first time was the moment where my love for BoA was solidified, though.

And ever since then, nobody has supplanted BoA as the fave of all faves. Everyone else is a pretender to the throne.

cl for me haha even tho ive been in the community since ...2004 circa tvxq / the trax debut, the only other girl group i can think that was out at the time was girls generation and this group called i-13? they were like the girl version of super junior
(but since i was into morning musume at the time they to me were the korean morning musume imo) and i had a bias there but i can't even remember her name or what she looks like T_T #fakefan


but then 2ne1 came out and i was like :o they felt so different

2ne1 was my first girl group. i found kpop through big bang and i remember when the lollipop mv for the LG phone was released and it featured 2ne1 alongside big bang... I WAS SOLD.

CL was so fierce and confident. i loved her energy and charisma, and not to mention, i thought (and still think) she's beautiful<3

Wonder Girls as a whole, sorry I can't peak one cause everyone became my bias at different moments can't remember the order... it was 12 years ago, of course I don't remember lmao
I first started listening to kpop through dbsk y suju mainly, watching them in variety shows when Tell me became viral, and even if the kpop world for international fans was small back then, you really couldn't ignore how big Tell me became, there were sooooo many dance covers from different people, celebrities or not, at that time every child that was in star king doing anything ended up doing the tell me dance. So I ended up liking the song and learning the dance without realizing, so I might aswell search for the group, and I just liked them a lot, even if they weren't good at variety it was their vibe, they were humble, there was a good kind of feel of simplicity in what they projected as individuals and as a group

I love her voice, style and personality! When I first saw her I just thought, "she is so cool."



When she starts Run Devil Run I just thought, "yes, this is it, this is what I need, my life is different now"

SNSD had a HUGE influence on my style. I definitely had a bright pair of jeans because of Gee, but I didn't notice until looking back later that I definitely owned several 3/4 sleeve shirts and chunky rings because of Oh! (I think I've said that here before)... and possibly started wearing my hair pulled back from my forehead (when I wore it straight) because of Taeyeon in the Genie video?! I was so impressionable lol to do all that without even realizing I was doing it

My first female bias was Hyoyeon from Girls Generation! I somehow stumbled upon Visual Dreams, an intel collab song they had, and Hyoyeon just caught my attention. She had some of the worst hair she has ever had in that one, but that just made her stand out more. Still think it's a bop!
