The irony is too cruel... for her father to suddenly pass away, on her birthday, and on the day she was to release a new song called 'Happy'.

I've been listening to Taeyeon/SNSD on my morning commute for the past few months and this morning I just couldn't, I feel so bad for her.

She has been struggling over the years due to her depression and the loss of several loved ones and to add to this she loses her father on her birthday. Just yesterday in that birthday vid she said she has been feeling happy lately and wanted to release “happy” to celebrate her bday and say thank you to the fans :(

Her father drove her to SM's vocal coach every week and waited until her lesson was over before she moved to Seoul. He was so proud, his entire store was decorated with pictures of her.

My mom passed away... wow, two years ago. But it's still with me. And on top of everything else plus her birthday... This makes me so sad good grief. I hope she's well please be well Taeyeon :((( 31 is still too young.
