I actually really like this I do love their energy, they have great dancing and fashion but their voices are so grating (especially Ryu Jin; I guess it makes sense that she's the rapper - OT but she's really beautiful)
that's a 'hm' out of 10 from me. i like chorus but every ryujin part is terrible (which is majority of the song). pitch also seems extra high which is ridic considering that lia is a good vocalist but never seems to be able to showcase it. after thinking a bit about it - i think i actually really love this mv. at first it seemed rather boring but it's nice to see each girl behaving like a typical teen lol. is there even anyone who didn't dress up while home alone? dancing in public bathroon and cutting your own hair? dreaming of walking runway? i think that was a nice and cute touch. lyrics are also nice - "i don't have to be anything because i'm perfect when i'm myself". it's nothing special ofc and not dalla dalla level of GOAT, but considering the age of their fans, i like what their title tracks focus on. choreo looks fantastic, so i hope to enjoy the song more after seeing lives because these girls always bring so much energy to their performances. also yuna is an absolute superstar. she is so charismatic, i can never take my eyes off her!
I expected to hate this but I’m pleasantly surprised. Ryujin really shone, and I don’t think her raps here are as cringey as they were in Icy, so that’s a relief. I also like that their songs mostly focus on embracing your individuality and being yourself, instead of being about boys or love lol. Very age-appropriate.
Yuna’s part where she walks the runway in that yellow dress was super cute! There was sooooo little Chaeryeong focus in this mv though, which is a shame. Even Yeji faded into the background for me which I didn’t think was possible. Ryujin really took center stage this time around. She’s such a star though so I don’t mind. Definitely looking forward to the live stages and album.
Ryujin cutting like an inch off her hair in the toilet didn't quite manage to echo CLC's Yeeun as much as it wanted to, lol Also Ryujin during the dance break is the first I've come close to understand this charisma that everyone else seems to get but I don't, but her parts continue to be kinda cringey for me. I recognise that this group has a really young target audience though so that's fine I feel like I barely saw anyone in this MV besides Yeji and Ryujin and occasionally Yuna? I'm sure Chaeyoung and Lia had parts but since there wasn't a lot of actual singing shown it was harder to parse I did enjoy this song though! It's a nice companion to Dalla Dalla and Icy but bringing a different feel and style.
The stunt of YeEun's haircut is hard to top. Like they had her do ALL the promo pictures before hand and only showed it long in the original promo only to save the reveal for the video. I mean, SHOWMANSHIP!!
me: *sad Ryujin's hair isn't long enough for the high ponys the others wear often* Ryujin: *Deliberately cutting her hair shorter again to it's bob length*
LMAO
the song is cute, I like that their brand is very aggressive self confidence
It’s catchy but I’m starting to feel like all of their title songs have the same lyricist. I mean....”I like me, I’m gonna be myself” is great for the youths but can we get anything else???
their first title track that I'm liking. Dalla Dalla was catchy, but it didn't grab me like Wannabe. The girls look good too, Lia's like a doll.
The song gives me Ddu Du Ddu Du vibes, I'm not too sure why, but there is resemblance from the song structure to the MV. It's nice to see Ryujin taking centre stage this comeback since she was pretty much hyped up before debut. wonder if Lia/Chaeryeong can get the spotlight next comeback
It’s fun :) it’s not an instant love for me but I’m enjoying it! I really do love their confident concept, I think this is much more appealing than pining after a boy all the time. I just wish the lyricist would spice it up a bit, since the first three songs are very similar lyrics wise
The MV looks great quality wise. I think they could’ve done more with it concept wise. I’m kinda confused about Chaeryoung’s plotline although the drone chase was kinda cool. Lia’s breaking out the ‘dainty/proper princess’ mold being put next to Yuna’s ‘model’ story had me mix up the two, especially since I feel like Lia didn’t get a lot of close up shots
Also kinda bummed we didn’t get a line referencing the famous Spice Girls ‘Wannabe’ but I’ll live lol
when it comes to production design JYPE is my favourite. others are usually hit or 'well it's nice' for me, but JYPE's style is very consistant (which probably just means it's all done by the same person/team lmao) and I love how they use colors!
yes Feel Special was amazing! I also loved Heartshaker and its beautiful shade of blue. GOT7's colorful mvs are amazing (Just Right, Look, Lullaby) too, and on the flip side I really liked the smoky matrix aesthetic of You Calling My Name. It went so well with the song. And all ITZY's mvs look very good, especially considering their target market. Someone at JYPE is doing a great job.
ehh don't like this one as much altho i'm sure it'll grow on me. just too high pitched in the beginning and no like...actual melody for the most part? i'm all for their female empowerment anthems but let's not have every single title song just be rap-talking for 4 min lol
I love them and the music video is nice, lia looks like a literal doll when they did those close ups on her face jfc it doesn't have the earworm quality that dalla dalla and icy has imo? after listening to it once, I don't remember what it sounds like and if it wasn't the group itself, I don't think I would give it another chance. haven't listened to their whole mini album yet, but it's a bit of a let down for me /:
some parts were great and some were good but i hoped they'd go harder. basically i thought that the chorus was the weakest, but i still like it a lot! it's the first time i liked their single
also, someone should make some sort of mash up (or whatever people call it these days) with Weki Meki's Crush, because at one point I started to sing it while listening to this lol
I really like this. They have so much energy and the overall message is really nice. They're selling it! The raps aren't as corny as others in previous songs so that's a bonus for me. Ryujin is so pretty! I feel like Yeji had the focus in Dalla Dalla and Yuna in Icy, it's nice that they're moving to another member each time. I can't wait for Chaeryoung and Lia's turns, they're talented but not really showcased here :/
I actually really like the choreo for this which is a step up from their previous title tracks and the lyrics are great. Yezi is such a star too. However the girl who starts the song has one of the worst voices I've ever heard
The instrumental has some interesting parts (bridge, prechorus) and I kinda like they keep with the loving themselves concept also, better than singing about hetlove... It's true there are also many issues to sing to but... 😆 As any of their other songs I don't love it but also don't hate it. It's fun I guess. I hate the pitch of all songs tho (and some of their voices sorry, especially Ryujin). I like Yeji 🥰
I like the song. It is very Dalla Dalla but with more...preferable verses. That intro verse with Ryujin throwing them shoulders was a moment.
The video I am like others with. It is easy to understand for the most part but at the same time not all storylines are created equal. They have been doing the girls who stick out for three videos straight. It shouldn't be that hard to sort of get their formula down. Chaeryeong was doing what? Running from surveillance? Why not keep it realistic, and just have her be the one kid in class that isn't moving at the same pace as the rest. Ryujin's part could have benefited from a few of the extras from Yeji's. Oddly enough I loved bratty Lia section.
Essentially Wannabe is a better Dalla Dalla with a worse Icy video. But again, Ryujin throwing them shoulders in the beginning was a moment.
It's pretty nice, but not an instant love for me... If I was their fan I would probably love it a lot though. Really like what I'm seeing of the choreo, so I'm looking forward to seeing some live stages!
