Happy Friday everyone! This week felt so stressful, but hopefully the weekend will be better. Every week I go through the charts for this day in the past and share the top three songs. Then I pick out two more from the top ten as honorable mentions. This week, let’s see who was on top for the 1st week of March, 2013. Some of the songs were posted before, so we'll check out some live stages. A little bit of everything this week.

#3 Rainbow “Tell Me Tell Me”

We’re rocking…Rainbow! I was so obsessed with this back then idgaf lol. In 2013, the group released their first (and only) full studio album in two parts. “Tell Me Tell Me” was the lead single from part one. They’re so darn adorable I still love it so much. And they’re still so adorable, releasing a 10th anniversary song last fall and still spending time together. All seven of them recently got together for Woori’s birthday last month.

#2 Huh Gak “1440”
This was the lead single off of the singer’s “Little Giant” album. The music video stars Apink’s Hayoung and actor Do Jihan. This feels very Jason Mraz or someone like that, doesn’t it? With his styling with the hat, and the song feels like it too. Anyways, this did well on the charts, and would be the start of a busy year for him.

#1 Sistar19 “Gone Not Around Any Longer”
Sistar’s only unit group really hit it big with this one. It stayed at the top spot for a few weeks, and would give them their first music show win (and then follow it up with 9 more). I always remember the live stages for this more than anything else this era lol. It’s because of the butt sweeping bench choreography.

Honorable Mentions

#6 Ali “Eraser”
This is a good look on her, she looks so nice with that hair. I don’t remember this song or era at all, but she sounds good. But she always sound good lol. Here’s her comeback stage on Music Core. Although it technically not a stage, but you guys know what I mean lol.

#7 B.A.P “One Shot”

OMG I totally forgot all about this MV and was all “whaaaa?!?” lol. I haven’t seen this in forever. Holy crap there is a lot going on here. So many scenes and lots happening in about 7 minutes. TS must have spent a lot of energy and money on this wtf (OT, but I’m pretty damn sure we were supposed to have a Sonamoo comeback last month? What’s going on TS?).

rAINBOW DESERVED MORE1!!!! They're like my only girl group love and their bond is so so so beautiful. Their company really dropped the ball shipping them off to Japan right after the boost they got fro A and Mach. Jaekyung with red hair is single-handedly one of the most beautiful people I've ever seen

gone not around any longer is a bop

tbh Sistar19 was more of just Hyolyn singing and Bora dancing. But it gave 2 title track bops so i can't really complain.

Didn't really like the trajectory Rainbow took with Tell Me Tell Me and Sunshine, but I guess that's what they needed to survive? it seemed like their "darker" songs were not popular

Yea ‘Tell Me Tell Me’ and ‘Sunshine’ was when they lost me as a fan for awhile - not that they were bad, but they were kinda boring compared to what they were putting out previously. Basically they won me over in the beginning, I got bored in the middle of their career, and then won me over with their amazing final song ‘whoo’! (while they still promoted)

And yea with sistar19, I remember fans in the comments being pissed with how little Bora was included lol. It really was Hyolyn ft. Bora

Yeah those were weird choices for singles from Rainbow Syndrome but the album tracks were REALLY good. I still listen to Don't Touch and Let's Dance regularly.

One Shot really brings a lot of feels! I remember going to a local cafe shop just to watch this MV and all its behind the scenes and stopping myself from screaming bcoz of fangirling. I remember how this was the peak era of BAP where they prove everyone that they're more than just singing and dancing. I was really surprised at how well they act on this one!

And god i miss storyline MVs. One Shot remains superior to me.

I miss Rainbow!
I've been sick & stuck in bed and just listening to "classic" kpop tunes. 'Tell Me Tell Me' wasn't my fave, but Go Jerry boy a great random line & Rainbow Syndrome is probs one of my favourite kpop releases to date.

Reminds me of being young, care-free & without a mortgage.
