BLACKPINK may be working with Lady Gaga! On March 4, the United Kingdom’s radio channel Capital FM reported on rumors that BLACKPINK would be featuring in Lady Gaga’s new album.

Following the report, YG Entertainment stated, “[BLACKPINK] is working on a lot of projects. It is difficult to confirm this information at this point, so please wait for the official announcement.”

Last year, BLACKPINK successfully wrapped up their first world tour “In Your Area,” and they recently performed at sold-out venues for the four concerts of their Japanese dome tour, performing for of a total of around 205,000 people. BLACKPINK is also expected to make their comeback in the first half of 2020.

Ugh, I'm kind of really irritated by this. Whatever we may think of Gaga, she's legit, and anything yge related just doesn't deserve this. The girls don't deserve this, or their popularity, though it's not their fault. I've come around to mostly liking them, (Jennie remains questionable), so I don't want to wish harm and failure on them (I am sure they work hard), but no. I do not see that they deserve this cache at all.

1. The animosity is towards the yge success. The girls' success benefits yge more than them, individually, most likely based on their contracts.

2. As I specified, whatever we think of Lady Gaga. She is, however, generally recognized as a talented pop artist.

I'm sorry but what does BP have? 13 whole songs that sound like they were meant for 2ne1, and even those songs sound rinse repeat. Blaccent raps with one decent vocalist and Jennie half assing her way through everything. lol

What they have is YG half assedly backing them and a whole rabid fanbase pushing them onwards. It's like BTS, but instead BTS actually had a discography behind them before they blew up worldwide. You can say what you want about them having some sort of it factor, but blowing up to thier success level off of so little work is weird. Yes big groups do blow up from big companies, but not overnight. This is new rabid stan culture of where people latch on to artist and force them forward, not having an "it factor".

The "vitriol" against the company is because the company is shit. People are also against the fact that YG treats thier artist like shit, especially the women. They threw away 2ne1 and Park Bom, but look at how Senguri GD and Big Bang got nothing but big ass support from YG when they have got in trouble. Hell Senguri is still in the news for Burning Suns, Big Bang hasn't done anything since 2016, and yet YG managed to get them a gig at Coachella. So please, do try and tell me that YG artist don't get everything because of YG.

And you talked about the OP disregarding R.Kelly and immediately jumped to the conclusion that it was an attack on women, which it absolutely was not. This is an issue of YG not getting more press, more popularity, and more coins because they are working with a high level western artist. You can say what you want about Dua Lip but she's not on Gaga's level of fame. And BP collabing with her would raise BP's chances of becoming a more household name in the western industry. Does sacrificing a YG group suck? Maybe, but supporting artist from YG isn't it honey. Blacklisting YG artist has a significant meaning.
