This album is phenomenal, extremely solid album. Dr. BeBe has even grown on me a lot since I first listen to it. Especially since listening to the album, the title track fits it a lot. So I'm much more on board with this new sound from PENTAGON.
Honestly, tracks 1-7 are perfection. They flow seamlessly into one another, so much so that right now I can't even pick my fave of those seven tracks.
I can say that Zoom Up is cute for what she is, but is my least favorite song on the album.
But the first seven tracks could truly just be an EP tbh. That's how good they are. I'm kinda shook, but not really because we been knew PENTAGON makes great music.
Can't lie, I was a bit nervous initially when they teased this new direction, plus I wasn't feeling Dr. BeBe at first listen...
I haven't listened to the album but I love what you just wrote. I am also very nervous about their first album but seeing this positive review from you made me really happy.
I didn't like Dr. Bebe on first listen as well. It has grown on me. For me #2 - #8 were an instant like, especially Asteroid, Show of Rain, Die For You, The Black Hall and Zoom Up. They have a great transition. The rest are soft songs, which are okay as well and fit the album, fan bonus.
I've always liked Pentagon and followed them pre-debut, but only liked some songs if any that they had released. But with this album it's like a total game-changer. The music I've always wanted them to pull me into.
