It was really good! There's already tons of music video theories in the comment section too and mine is a mashup of two I read - the girls were happily together until each receiving special powers/abilities (fingertip?) but had a falling out and Eunha is the only one with the ability to go back through time to try and fix the rift but runs out of chances and the girls drifted apart anyway and/or due to her trying to fix it.
At this point I'm guessing Sunrise is a prequel to 'time for the moonnight' & Eunha died to the attempts while crossroads details Eunha trying to fix the rift while showing how the girls have grown apart in the mean time?
IDK if this makes a lick of sense I just woke up after being unable to sleep long (thanks apnea)
I love it! Musically and visually, it's a direct continuation of TFTM and Sunrise, which I both loved. I just wished they used the guitar a little more, it sounded great in the outro! I like that there's this possibilty to read a deeper storyline, but the video can still be thought as showing friends drifting apart through life. That hit me harder than I would like to admit :') when Yuju let go of Umji's hand... outch I think it's the first time GFriend has a music video without shots of them dancing? I'm curious about the choreo
I really like it 👍 It’s not a LOVE like I felt Sunrise, but it’s a solid song! I knew though when I saw who produced it I’d like it. I’m a sucker for anime ost sounding songs 😂 But kind of what I mentioned when Gfriend announced their comeback, this is a song I genuinely enjoy - but it’s not really a song that will innovate or spark interest in those not too into Gfriend before.
The song I like way more on Spotify - the MV is pretty but very boring. I’m just not into kpop lore, they got me with the teasers but as usual the final product usually doesn’t have me care about the story 🤷♀️ Memoria’s Japanese MV did the best at making me care about a storyline lol
eh, not my jam. feels kinda mediocre and flat. I liked time for the moonlight's buildup, this feels very anime opening to me. the video is cute though, the aquarium shots 😍
definitely more in tune with what i like than a lot of things i see regarding girl groups. i like the plot/story-heavy approach. the close ups. the focus on details and human emotions.
i really miss their earlier rock-driven sound. most of their later releases sound like they're halfway there energy-wise, like if this just had a stronger beat and more power it'd be amazing.
I like this a lot. TFTMN and Sunrise both felt like a natural progression of maturity in their music and this is no different.
The video is superb. Gfriend is one of the many groups that doesn't rely on a lot of heavy visual effects (save for Fingertip) and it really sells their sound even more. That ending with Eunha traveling through eras kinda got me right in the feels.
No choreo??? still it's a pretty MV but what I like most about Gfriend are their choreographies. Hope there's a dance version They all look beaituful as always adn Umji really blossomed <3
i knew i would love this once i saw who the writer was, lol. the mv is just "there" for me. idk, i would've liked some choreo scenes in there somewhere.
This is lovely <3 The song is not an instant fav but it has much much potential to grow on me and they sound amazing. I don't care much about the storyline and all theories but the MV is gorgeous and so are the girls. Can't even pick who looks the best in here!!!
The mini is really good from what I heard.
I really really need to see this song performed because they constantly win me over with their choreographies!!!
i guess it's fine but i don't like it anywhere nearly as much as i liked sunrise and time for the moon night. it's just missing something, some oomph. a high note? a build-up? i don't know but i find it lacking.
The outdoor shots are so pretty. I feel like filming outdoors has become their signature MV aesthetic. I like this better than Sunrise. It's unfortunate that their comeback coincided with the coronavirus and they had to cancel their showcase as their result--it hope it doesn't affect their revenue. I hope this does well domestically for them. I want to see a well-shot choreography/performance MV.
The mv is gorgeous, definitely their most ambitious yet. I love how Yerin’s role in all of these story mvs is to look sad and wistful lmao. I think the song itself will have to be a grower. Personally, it does not have that instant impact like Sunrise or TFTMN, but it’s still a really solid Gfriend release! Currently loving Labyrinth so far.
I like these girls. I like this MV. But I will never be able to get into their music. It will always sounds super dated, boring and uninspiring to me. I hope they do well in Japan because that’s the only place where this soundscape will succeed without question.
I LIVE for dramatic anime sounding music like this. It definitely sounds similar to TFTMN which is fine because I liked that song. I feel like the chorus part doesn’t go anywhere in this song though. But I’m definitely gonna listen to it again.
allkill, soty, just amazing Mv is quality, wish they'd dive deeper into it girls are all 100/100 cried when yerin yeeted herself into the tub also, when yuna let go of yewon's hand :(((( i love gfriend ugh
