Ailee takes picture with Chris Brown, claims she didn't know about his history

Ailee, who was born and raised in the US and moved to South Korea in 2010, was at the Grammys on Sunday, taking pictures with various artists including known woman beater Chris Brown, whose assault against Rihanna made headlines around the world in 2009. After fans called her out for that on Instagram she edited the caption of the picture, claiming "I TOOK THIS PHOTO WITHOUT ANY KNOWLEGE OF WHAT HE DID!!!" (...) I DO NOT THINK LIGHTLY OF ANY ABUSES. Now stop giving me so much shit for something I didnt even know happened and leave 👏🏻 me👏🏻 alone👏🏻 DAYUM".
As if this wasn't bad enough, Chris Brown himself commented on the post, calling her a cornball.

She has since deleted the picture.

i don't know where she lived at the time the rihanna thing happened, but to be honest it's not like everyone knows what he did, it's easy to not hear about this kind of stuff outside of the US imo. His article on polish wikipedia doesn't even mention the situation.

i'm not defending her specifically, but everyone here seems to think it's absolutely impossible not to hear what an american singer did in 2009 and that's simply not true.

i do agree though that people working in showbusiness should actually be more informed about these things. it's kind of their job to have a good public image, so they should be more careful with stuff like this

In the Western world too, people still REALLY love Chris Brown. This guy has done more than just beat up his ex-girlfriend, and each time he gets into more trouble there's fellow celebrity friends defending his ass on bloody instagram. One of the wildest things I've seen was an editorial piece from some magazine that claimed the guy has unsolved mental health issues that leads him to his 'bad behaviour' when in reality he is some some of misunderstood genius.
