EXO's Kai talks about his upcoming solo debut #KAI_IS_COMING

Kai (Kim Jongin, 26) will be making his solo debut.

The EXO member confirmed the news in an interview with media outlet when asked "if he has solo plans for 2020".

Kai stated, "First of all, yes, there is a plan. A lot of fans have been waiting for it but this the first time I'm saying this clearly. I hope everyone can anticipate it."

This will be Kai's first solo project since his debut with EXO in 2011.

Come on now, exo-cs was trash, and baekhyun's isn't the same level. For all of chanyeol's passion and seeming talent, it showed only his obnoxious seal side. I didn't expect much from Sehun.

Baekhyun's was fine, just disappointing because he seems like he is easily capable of a lot more. The boy may be a (fun) shit, but he can sing and dance.

it felt like sm knew both cs and baek's numbers would be huge they could send out less than a list material for their debuts.

I know people hate ballads but both of chen's albums are extremely well produced and curated to his singing ability and taste, I didn't feel that with the other two.

Oh for sure. Baekhyun especially has such hardcore fans they didn’t have to deliver their best although they should have.
I ugghed at Chen putting out the ballads but you’re right there was a lot more care in his work and it didn’t feel like an album of leftovers or fillers. I’m hoping Kai brings it. All I want is the mood of when he’s dancing to be bottled up and put into an album.

Chen going ballads makes a lot more sense now that he's about to be a dad. a great audience range and balladers tend to get a lot more slack re:personal life. He'll be set for decades if he wants to keep singing.

I have high expectations for Kai's solo but 0 idea what they'll do for him musically.
