OP, we ain't got snow, but we got months of pre-global warming cold and rainy weather. It's brutal. Stay healthy and find someone to shovel for you.

I watched the Cheese in the Trap movie and spent the whole time tripping over why the characters looked so different. Han Seul is the same actress as in Love with Flaws that is almost decent except for the stuff involving this actress (and Ahn Jae-hyun, he's even more intolerable ). At least in the movie her face looks way less LA face. Also, DARA. I'm Dara indifferent (girl get some spice) but she seemed ok. Original cast Bora was better though. And Eun-Taek. Basically, I'm team drama cast, by a wiiiiide margin. Also the movie story was kind of dumb.

Also, I haven't listened to a new song since Sehun's god awful technology-trashed refrain in obsession. I hope I'm not broken for good.

A certain temptation-devil LJ user, AHEM, is trying to convince me Seventeen is worth going to San Jose for. Next week. She also got me hyped for superm, but then bailed. I almost wish Kpop was still ignoring SF.

finally watched parasite and it was SO good. i usually don't have the attention span for movies but i was hooked the entire time.

a little less than three weeks until my trip to europe, i'm so excited! it'll be my first time in europe 🤩

if it weren't for the fact that i stan ateez hardcore now the current drama in the exo fandom would've pushed me out for GOOD. i truly can't wait for suho to enlist so i can abandon exo twitter for good and take a huge step back from kpop overall. it's taken me nine years of being a fan to realize being active in fandom really fucking sucks lmao

I had a crazy stressing week, with my boss being The Worst™ on Monday, then surprisingly absent on Tuesday when we were supposed to have our weekly meeting together (big sigh of relief) (also she called at 11am to say her son's school was on strike so she had to take care of him? school in France starts around 9am?? what happened during those 2 hours??? maybe you just didn't wake up????).
I had a day off Wednesday but no energy, I mostly stayed in bed, watched videos and played pokemon.
Then yesterday my boss called to say she was on sick leave again for 15 days - but that this time she's be available by phone, and will handle stuff (including planning meetings for one of my cases which I'm happy about because it's going to be a big mess and it won't be my fault lmao) (she also told "you have 2 more weeks to deal with the cases on hold" which sounded menacing for me even though the words were all carefully chosen). Then my boss' boss called to plan a team meeting with her (team reorganisation on its way) and had 2 questions... but on things my boss is handling (the meetings, and another case she's the only one working on). Later that same day, my boss refused to hand over information to her own boss lmao *grabs pop corn*.
Despite my boss not being physically there, the atmosphere was tensed yesterday and I was a big ball of nerves & anxiety when I arrived at my psy's :') glad it happened though because after that appointement, I finally had a good night of sleep.

My N+2 is taking decisions now - we have a team meeting early next week while my boss is on sick leave (again). I'll see how the meeting goes, I know she's going to give us guidelines about our jobs that go against my boss' wishes. I'll also request a small talk because there's something I can tell her that will be damning to my boss but could come from me "being worried". I'll unleash hell slowly haha

I ended up really enjoying TRoS! I had such low expectations, it would have been hard to go even lower than that XD
I disagree with a bunch of choices they made and the overall product is too safe (which... is a whiplash in itself after how UNsafe TLJ was lmao) but I had a great time. My main gripes were mostly about character developpement, and how disconnected it was from TLJ. It felt like JJ just went back to the storylines he had placed in TFA but had to fit a lot in a short film. Rey and Kylo being "connected" could have been interesting in theory, but by forcing everything now, it feels like the usual stupid love interest for the main female character (ugh) and Kylo's redemption didn't feel natural.
I can see people not enjoying Leia's arc but I was crying like a baby anytime Carrie was on the screen and Leia's death had me bawling so I don't really care. They were obviously limited with what they could do and I think they did their best. I liked that they showed how Leia trained as a Jedi with Luke (even if the reason she stopped didn't feel in line with the character, stopping because she cares too much about the rebellion/wants to be a general there would fit better I think than "my kid is going to do that") because Leia having the force with her was always something I really like about this character.
I'm still mad about Luke and the fact that JJ brought him back in a small way shows that his arc was really unsatisfying for everyone.
Also angry about Finn (a force-positive stormtrooper training with Rey even if his call would be more towards leading the rebellion than chasing sith would have been awesome??? why did they deprive us of it???), and Poe (wtf was that last-minute love interest lmao this was ridiculous and Poe had so much more chemistry with Finn) and Rose (they totally sidelined her and I'M SO MAD it would have been so easy to just give her more lines about having a leadership role in the rebellion... we know it's just because of those misogynist and racist "fans" I'm so mad)
The Knights of Ren were so useless and ridiculous lmao.
There were some beautiful shots but not as many as TFA/TLJ? At least not as memorable to me (for example the fallen Imperial ships on Jakku, the red Snooke room, the ship battle with red dust were all really memorable to me)
But yeah I had a good time XD

I love westerns so I was fine with Mando having a very slow pace set in the star wars universe :)
For me it's like Rogue One : they had a different format (a one-off film or a TV show), new characters, and new themes to go for (Rogue One went for how dirty and violent a rebellion could be, but even there you'll find heroism, Mando is its own beast) so they found space to do what they wanted and focus on delivery something good. Mando perfected what Rogue One started (because the film is... unperfect to say the least lol it has a very slow first half).
Let's now hope the Obi-wan show they've announced will keep the same quality/innovation as Mando, and won't go for easy/cheap road like Solo

I’m so happy that SF9 got their first win this week! And now their second! I figured it would happen with how they’d been trending on Melon. They deserve it.
So..... today’s MX world tour ticketing day. It seems like everyone thinks it’s going to be awful trying to get tickets, so of course, my anxiety is really bad since I’ve never tried to get tickets for them before. I just want to see them and not video screens of them. 😭 I can’t wait until today is over and I know how good or bad my seats will be.

Our winter is totally messed up (thanks to climate change), our snow all melted after like a week and now it's been unusually warm here for the season. It's just wet and windy mostly. And dark since it's the winter season.

I somehow managed to totally reset my attitude after new year. I'm super into working out, and I'm checking out events to go to, like slam poetry open mic nights, movie/documentary evenings, art exhibitions.

I bought this lash perm(?) kit from Amazon and the change in my lashes without any makeup/curling is actually amazing. Totally worth it lol.

This was right after I did the first one, so it's a little moist/clumped, but eye on the left has the lash perm, the right one is how my lashes normally look (non-existent basically). And they stay like that for at least a month!

I also want to say thank you to everyone who expressed their support in the post that I created about the current situation here in our country. My relatives are all safe (Thank God!). We will deal with clearing and repairing the damage in our property when this is all over. And I really hope this ends soon!

Weathering With You has great artwork/production but the story kills it for me. The ending had me going “wtf that’s it!?!?” lol. The job I had before Christmas went better than I expected and now I've been doing basically nothing the past 2 weeks since retail always goes into a coma in January. Hopefully things pick up again soon because my rent won't pay itself...

I went to see Opeth on Wednesday and ugh it was so good (although that is to be expected of a band that started in -89, even with all the member changes). Next up is Dir En Grey in a couple of weeks!

The weather is unusually warm for this time of year and I think we might not get an actual winter. So no snow here.

i'm scared that jd will be getting the sungmin treatment from sm, esp. seeing the way sm treats exo lately. everytime i log on twitter, i'm anxious. i don't wanna hear the news about jd being out from exo, i don't think i can take it :(

I'm going to end up judging exo as a whole based on what happens to Chen. I realize the members may not have much say, but I don't feel like being reasonable. Plus, a part of me thinks if the members stood as a team, sm would go along. They're money makers and coming up on contract negotiations. I'd think sm would want to keep some of them long term, so would be somewhat flexible.

Hi omona. Does anybody have recs for lipsticks that last through eating food? Preferably that also aren’t drying. I fell in love with bold lip colors after years of avoiding them, but since I pretty much don’t go out without eating, I never bother with putting them on.

No snow yet but cold and windy in my area today. January has been a trip of a month, I'm just hoping it's not a foreshadowing of what's in store for this month. I know I just dropped out of my online classes last year, but I've been thinking that if I my license and a car before September (I'm getting my permit next week) I can enroll in my community college. Tuition is close to free, so I feel like I should be able to at least get my associates degree. I can't do online classes, and I was having trouble with taking public transportation and going to class because of my anxiety. I think having a car would lessen some of the anxiety, but I'll see.

I was watching grown-ish and I'm so mad about the pregnancy plotline. There's no need for a freaking baby in a show about young adults.

Hello all! I haven’t posted in a ffa! In a while. Life is decent.

Does anyone who suffers from depression/anxiety ever feel like sometimes they just THINK they’re coping but in reality it’s just you dissociating or vice-versa? That’s how I was for the majority of 2019 so I’m doing my best to be present this year and try to let myself feel my actual emotions. This sounds like word vomit but I swear it makes sense lol!

Other than that we’re about to get like a massive snowstorm and it’s supposed to be freezing again here in Illinois. This is our comeuppance for people celebrating it being like 56 degrees on Christmas in the Midwest. That shouldn’t happen. Right now I’m planning my trips for the year. I may be going to Greece with my friend and I’m super excited for that! Plus one of my best friends is getting married this year so another wedding to be in

This weeks been really busy and I wasn't expecting it to be. Shot a music video on Tues \0/ and was approved on the first steps for this mentoring program that'll end with a $5000 grant. ^_^

SF9's first win made my day yesterday and their win this morning was so great, up against red velvet too they genuinely didn't think they'd win. I hope they sweep this weekend and spend the rest of the year less stressed. FNC was pushing this "new bg to debut" messaging but hopefully this gives them a bit more time.

Youtube has some decent ones. People really like Yoga with Adriene, and she has a 30 days playlist that is not challenging. I find her to chatty, but most people really like her. I like yoga with candance better. She talks a lot less. I use her short videos when I struggle to fall asleep.

Hey ya'll, hope 2020 has been good to you so far. I'm almost out of this damn flu, it's just the cough that's persisting and making me sound like a chain smoker.

My sister dragged me to a store after I told her I only use soap and regular (?) cream when it comes to face care and now I got all sorts of soaps, creams, serums, masks and massagers for my face, lmao. She was so appalled that I had no idea all of these things existed for your face.
