I've seen a lot of conflicting/contradictory reports/insider source reports/speculations, rumours, so I'll wait and see. What I do know tho, is that their fans are campaining, petitioning, streaming, calling and sending emails to each companies to ask them to create another JBJ basically. There's this rumour, founded or not, that two companies supposedly wanted to pull out their idol, so that's why they disbanded (sounds ludicrous to me that 2 could outweight 9 but okay). So fans are asking to create a new group with the members of companies who would allow it.

now apparently it's 4 companies that were against continuing as X1. the speculation is that it's the companies that haven't allowed their trainees to write a letter. so it's (seungwoo) plan a, (junho) woollim, (eunsang) brand new music, (dongpyo) dsp media.

also apparently Swing wanted them to do a goodbye video but one company said no. And the members wanted to participate in the reunion but weren't allowed.

I've been doing the hashtags, streaming on melon, sending emails, etc... but I feel like tho a unit is a big possibility, my fav Dongpyo won't be there so now I'm sad and tired :(

The worst is that I got the membership kit on the 31 last month, and now I'm like what for? also I got to go to music shows like 2 times, and let's be real, I spent that money on the membership to be able to go support them for a whole year. I feel cheated and scammed, apart from fucking sad :(((

I read earlier the article talking about how the meeting unfolded and it's really shitty. I know it's too much to ask to expect the companies to care about their idols' opinions, since they're just short terms commodities to them. But really, would it have killed them to just release the god damn song. From past leaked pics or fantaken pics, it looked like they did a photoshoot for that single or whatever, so if everything was ready, why not release it as a farewell song?

I didn't think much of Dongpyo's situation because he is pretty young but now that you mention it, DSP don't have a good track record with their groups and if I'm correct, they don't seem to have a roster of rookies ready to debut yet. If the project goes through, it would be really stupid of DSP not to allow it. He's much better out there promoting in that reboot project instead of being stuck in their dungeon wasting his talent away.

Would you mind sharing your experience attending music shows? I'm really curious! Did you like it? Which performances did you watch?

I went to their pre-recording of 웃을 때 제일 이뻐 (what is that one called in English ? like always?) in mc countdown. we recorded at like 11am or sth, they did the song 4 times (usually groups practice once, then record two times) and they were super nice. we were a lot of fans (like 300?) crowded lol. I remember that Minhee lost his shoe and that at the end Dongpyo asked if we had eaten.
I didn't get into the live that day cos I was a low number and it was raining (typhoon) really hard that day so I didnt wanna stay lol. I usually go to music shows with girl groups, and apart from Taemin this was my first time going with such a huge fandom, but fellow one its are really nice. I actually think I've gone to every music show at some point, also went to the recording of ISAAC in the summer hahaha so if you have like really specific questions or sth you can ask me ;)

Thanks for telling me. I was curious how it went and if you had anything memorable you saw happen, like that infamous time minhee lost his shoe XD

You weren't there for Flash recording? They didn't record all 2 or 3 songs one after the other? Seems strange.

nope, for pre-rec groups record songs at different times*. for flash it was at 3am I think. and we couldn't apply for both pre-recs I guess this was so more people would have more chances to see them at least once.
like, the notice and the applying are always separate and usually you can apply to everything but for x1 if you did that you would get blacklisted so my friend went for flash and I went for like always. and I couldn't apply for other days because I had classes and we would have to be at like 9am for the checking and like the pre-rec would be at 11am...

*also if you go with a group that doesn't have a lot of fans sometimes you have to stay for the prerecording of your group and another one, as public. (that's how I have seen chungha, lee hi, lovelyz, ab6ix...) but because x1 has lots of fans, it's a lot of people crowded (at least for m countdown where it's standing, I'm pretty sure they allowed more people than usual lol)

It's an interesting read. Thank you for explaining. I don't know about you, but with that lineup you listed, I wouldn't mind attending their pre-recording either!

I have one burning question: were the boys singing live at one point during the pre-recording or did they lip-synch all four times? I read once that people at pre-recordings could hear Seungyoun singing loudly through his mic (or despite his mic not working) despite the loud playback.

yes they were singing live, although the music is so loud that you cannot be 100% sure... usually everyone sings live at music bank too (obviously on top of the mr)

oh and DSP has two other trainees I think but tbh I don't remember them at all.... and like what does dongpyo gain by not joining? did you see that DSP created a fan cafe in which they uploaded dongpyo's letter? it's called 새싹즈 (like "sprouts") ,........

Maybe the three DSP trainees can promote as a side project. like the Brand New Music did with Sihoon with BDC. It would be such a shame to let his hype and fame go down like that in such a competitive industry.
