I am 100% in love with this. The song is great, the fashion is amazing (I'm afraid i'm going to have to dress like this from now on) and the dancing is WONDERFUL.

Love the song! I love chorus when everyone harmonizes together, so this is right up my alley. Seulgi sounds amazing on this track, this style really fits her. They're all gorgeous omg I love the styling on everyone???
great song. thank god they've abandoned the theme for the other two titles of the year for this track. and like someone else said, the beginning in particular sounds like a Julia Michael song. but love the ending, with just the music and some adlibbing
I like it! It is very much a Julia Michaels sound, which unlike most people I HATE that basic ass sound that the western world eats up (or in reality it plagues American pop stations, luckily I don’t listen to radio anymore) but as I brought up with the demo - RV’s members make it much more interesting than the drab vocalist on the demo.
The MV and outfits/styling? Huge improvement!! They look amazing!!! The lyrics? Eh lame. But overall a solid title track, MUCH better than the last two but I don’t think it’s ~amazing~ either.
This reminds me of other songs, so it’s not groundbreaking, but it’s a hundred times better than their last releases. The fashion is great and the dance is slow but cool. I very much prefer when RV goes dark.
Agreed about this song sounding like a mish mash of a bunch of other songs. One part kind of sounds like Twice's Ooh Ahh to me. I do like this song though and think it is better than their two previous releases.

No but seriously I was hooked from the first listen, really like this age appropriate sound (and a real chorus!) not to mention the great styling, I'd been getting tired of seeing weird mish mash outfits.
i'm bored. :( with a title like psycho i was hoping for something a lot weirder or louder, but this is probably their least interesting single in years for me. if i wanted this sound i'd listen to american top 40 radio, where everything has this same drab, plodding sound.

Honestly I get what you mean! I do like this song, but the demo told me exactly the direction they were going with this comeback. I don’t mind western influence, it’s always been there in some way in kpop, but overall I’m usually pretty cautious to songs appealing to western audience because I don’t need the same music I’m tired from the US just in a different language. A good example is Boy With Luv, it does nothing for me since it sounds like a song I’ve heard enough over here.
And yea I do make fun of zzb, but I still think it’s fun even though I don’t love it lol, it’s still quite enjoyable.

there are a couple production flaws that i wouldve fixed if i was the producer like seulgi's individual psycho & babo during the first chorus wouldve been dope if put through some sort of ballroom reverb and maybe some echo to make it more haunting cause her voice sort of sticks out from the already powerful harmonies and i dont know if its because im spoiled by exo's obsession but where is the bass? i want to blast this on a huge surround se system but it still falls kinda flat!
anyway, this song is the red velvet song ive liked in 1,5 year (since power up) and all the girls look amazing!
i'm so in awe @ their looks in this video that the song is super boring in comparison. it's not bad and i don't hate it but it's very generic. you can turn on any american radio station and find 40 other songs that sound like this. umpah umpah is the best of the trilogy and peekaboo remains their superior halloweenish concept.
i love peekaboo so much 😭it used top 40 elements but the song still had a lot of personality. the mv was perfect and it actually had a storyline element which i wish they would do more often instead of the usual choreo + beauty shots in elaborate sets thing.
I already said this in a reply but it sounds like something that could be found in the top 40 like...it’s such a common sound. Doesn’t straight up suck though lol. Maybe it will grow on me.

Hooray, the RV sound I like. I actually don't think this sounds like a lot of what RV do actually, and I feel almost certain the beginning is sampled from something else and I can't put my finger on it. It's good though, I enjoyed quality of picture in the music video. Vocals were great.
