I effing hated how netizens treated Yeri for her outward show of grief during Jonghyun’s funeral. No one but Yeri and Jonghyun know how close they were and no one has a right to judge expressions of grief that are causing none any harm. I will always feel bad for this girl and the shitty way she was treated.

My way of honoring him is to keep listening to his music. Sometimes grief hits hard while doing so, but he loved his art so much that I can’t bear to not keep it alive in my daily life.
Key’s post and Taem’s cute reply were bittersweet, but still made me smile. I hope they are all taking care of themselves.

My best friend committed suicide this year. If I had to grieve in public and have people give me shit for it the way they did Yeri - who is a lot younger than me - I would've lost my mind. I wish strength to everyone going through something like this.

With how crazy work has been for me I wasn't able to properly take time to honor him yesterday, but I plan on listening to only his music all tonight while I'm working. I'm still sad about his passing, but I also really want to remember how his songs made me feel. Seeing Key's posts made me remember their Tokyo Dome concert, where he was crying and Jonghyun hugged him, only to start crying himself and then hug each of the other members ❤

A friend of mine, someone I cared deeply about, committed suicide not two weeks after Jonghyun's passing, and I am still upset about it. I'm fortunate that I was able to openly grieve without judgement, but it still angers me that others were treated like crap for the way they expressed their grief over Jonghyun. Grief is a deeply personal thing to experience - as long as they aren't hurting themselves or someone else in the process, no one has the right to judge how another person works through it.

I’m sorry about your friend. I lost a friend over a decade ago and it still hurts at times. Grief is a journey and I completely agree that everyone should be allowed to grieve how they need to without judgment.

I spend two hours a day commuting and I listen to SHINee a LOT while doing so, which means I think about Jonghyun a lot too. I know he wouldn't want it to be just sad thoughts so I try to focus on how much he brought to the world while he was here and how much he left behind for us to enjoy. She Is has become one of my favorite songs ever and it makes me happy, even if that happiness is tinged with grief.

I have depression--thus much of the time happiness is tinged with something else for me--and was suicidal when I was younger, but I'm so glad that I didn't succeed. I just wish he had the chance to come to similar conclusions.
