i guess i'm kinda back? i'm not really ready yet but i really missed talking to you guys on fridays for the past few weeks!

i haven't been doing well, both mentally and physically. it was just things kept piling on and on and it was just too much to handle so i had to take a step back. a couple of the things that happened (a small portion):

my illness has really been messing with me lately and i've been in a lot of pain and a LOT of migraine again and that hasn't helped me mentally, either. also with goo hara passing, i wanted to take time to properly say goodbye to her (which i did!). also a couple of other people nearby have passed away the past few weeks which made me really sad.

the local government has rejected my application for help again and it's a very confusing system but basically they all (multiple parties) just leave me hanging, and they are all pointing fingers at each other. they all are like "wow you really need help" and "you're life is so sad and hard, you need help" but they just reject me anyway and it's been like this for over 2 years and it just caused a lot of pain. we have filed an official complaint and called the local government and they just leave me hanging AGAIN. it's just so ridiculous. I had a talk with my mom last night about how it really made me understand people who take very drastic measurements to get "attention" and help like jump of a building or in front of a car and light their house on fire or whatnot. I told her i really feel like i need to do something very extreme just for them notice me and take me seriously and just feeling that kind of pressure is just absolutely awful. I'm thankful i have my family here to support me through this.

i also turned 29 earlier this week (wednesday), it was a bit of a difficult day and i got migraine at the end of the day. birthdays are kinda hard, but i'm just very grateful that i got to spend it with my parents and brother, they were all home all day and just that was enough for me. but i have made it so far and i'm thankful for that, even if it's extremely hard at the same time.

otherwise i have mostly been reading, doing some baking and cooking and watching some variety/series/drama - i started Shige's Zero: Ikkaku Senkin Game drama.
i've been doing some origami here and there because i'm making a big origami thing for my mom's upcoming birthday end of the month and i will have to put in a looot of hours still because it's kinda a big project but i hope she'll like it. we don't really have the right kind of paper but i'm sure it will still look nice.

what your plans for the rest of the year guys? do you already have your christmas tree up? we bought a new one because our other was just /so/ fake lol, it was so ugly. so we got a new one and we are hoping to set it up this weekend. do you guys have a lot of decorations up in and around the house? like special christmas lights?

Hi you. I missed you the last few weeks, but I also knew Hara's death hit you and that you were also dealing with other things. I'm really sorry to hear it's been so tough both physically and mentally, I guess this really shows how the two are connected and how one can seriously affect the other.

Happy belated birthday! I'm sorry it ended badly but happy to hear you got to spend it with your family. I agree birthdays can be hard, I personally hate the attention they bring. Did you do anything else for the day? Had some food that you could enjoy?

The situation with your health and the local government is really heartbreaking, I'm really just so sorry. I can't understand the pain and despair it makes you feel, but I have lived through a similar experience with my mother who was in a similar situation to you and started to feel similar to what you described. I can only say I hope it gets resolved asap and that if you ever need to talk, please feel free to PM me. I don't have any answers, but I support you 100% and you shouldn't feel alone - I'm glad you feel supported by your family through this.

i got a steroid injection in my shoulder yesterday. aside from the needle going in, i didn't feel it much the whole day, but now it's very sore, lol. i'm hoping it'll help in the long run, but we'll see. i also got some topical anti-inflammatories to try out on it; one is a patch and the other is a gel. considering the area that bothers me most is around my collarbone, the gel might be more useful! i've tried the patch before and it just rolls off due to the position.

my PCP's office still doesn't know what kind of insurance they'll be taking next year, which is getting ridiculous, because i'll have to see her to get new lab orders. and insurance requires referrals for specialists, so i'd have to be able to get in and get those before i see my gastroenterologist on the 11th. 🤦

a member on here a few months ago warned me about IUD placement being extremely uncomfortable and. whew. they were absolutely right; i took a pain pill before going in and it did not help at all, lol. i wasn't on my cycle like they ~recommend~ but all they really needed to know is if i was pregnant or not. i only just had it done on tuesday so i can't say anything about the results so far.

TBH, I think this is a positive thing. I’m sure idols have always been dealing with this, but companies would just force them to push through or have to come up with a bs cover that always left rumors (if they bothered to give a reason). Them being able to be a honest is a good sign that Korea is slowly starting to get better in regards to mental health. I hope that companies taking their idol’s meatball health seriously will also reach their young fans to take their mental health seriously.

seriously i'm so tired and sick of my work. my boss is being super ambitious and take on a lot of projects when she should've focused more on improving what we have. yes she wants the company to grow but she works the staff to death, makes us do work that's not in our job desc. what's worst is that she can't take no for an answer. what she wants, she has to get. i'm already stressed out with projects next year! so exhausted :(

daynr is simple: it's a few letters taken from my 3 names that I stuck together to be unique so I can use it across multiple platforms. This has worked out, though no ideas on how to pronounce it ....

I want to join classes to meet people and try some of the things i want but my new job is severely less than my last and it's been rough saving the amounts I want. I haven't adjustment my saving plans which means my spending pool is significantly less but I know it's better in the long run, especially with how tumultuous the market is.

Crazy day today so I wasn't even able to post during my lunch break as I usually do.

My boss is on medical leave for a full month so something really happened. I feel super guilty because my first thought was "oh we'll have a quiet month at least" (two of my coworkers confessed having the exact same thought lol) when one month means serious health issue. One of my favourite things about myself is that I care about other people, it's the reason I do my job, it's what I try to live by, but I didn't really care about my boss. I don't like this :(
But work still goes on and the team have a ton of work to do. At least we're able to organize ourselves as we want, and we've been pretty successful so far. I feel like I've done SO MUCH this week! it's crazy.
I've also learned that my boss' boss want to reorganize our service next year lmao. My boss and her boss hate each other and have veeeery different ways of working, it's going to be a shitshow. But hey! maybe things will change for us? who knows!

Also the strike is driving me crazy.
Not the strike itself because I understand. But I'm just tired to struggle in public transport. Last time it took me 2h45 from my office to my psy (car with a coworker + waiting the bus + overfulled bus) when it usually takes less than one hour TT I was lucky to even get a bus, many friends/coworkers have nothing.
Also my cousin can't visit us this weekend as previously planned. I feel sad for the kid, it's the third time a visit in Paris with her mom get cancelled because of demonstrations, she has the worst luck :(

They didn't care about the 2 schools and 3 day care center who didn't have heating device for 5 hours. It was fucking 5° outside ( no way to prepare the food either)

It's been a weird week for me. We've been in a social revolution in my country for more than 50 days and at the beginning I was very active, going to the protest, having reunions, assemblies, etc. But my insomnia started to get worse, later I got really sick because of allergies, and that has affected my mental health. Even if I'm feeling better in the allergy situation I just feel down all the time and haven't left my house this week 😑 I started to watch lots of kpop videos, got into new groups buts then my laptop broke 😑😑😑😑 my getaway, my relief broke :( I just feel miserable. I saw my MX boys last wknd (minus WH and JH 😭). Had they ever performed as five before?? Regardless, I sang my heart out and they seemed in a good mood as a result of the crowd. We were LOUD haha. And they performed Someone’s Someone for the first time!
Also, NCT127 also performed and while their music isn’t really my style, they are a talented bunch. But also... why does so much of their choreo happen on the floor? It looks painful haha.

It’s so embarrassing how so many armys are acting like JTBC is known for lying just because they bungled their report on BTS when JTBC were instrumental in bringing down Park Geunhye. Like, I know these people only care about their group and don’t pay attention to Korean news outside of kpop, but I wish they would just limit their criticisms to the one incident instead of casting aspersions without any facts to back it up. (And yes, I know, not all armys, but all the ones I’ve seen comment on it outside Omona have had pretty bad takes.) The conspiracy theories run rampant, like everyone’s out to get BTS. I especially hate the armys who act like BTS are such a point of national pride that they must be protected by the news. What sort of propaganda? Soft power is real.

hello land of the living!

well, conversion hell week is over and i barely survived. i did have a breakdown last night when i got home. i was just overwhelmed with everything. i felt like nothing was getting done. for those who don't know, our credit union changed core processors and it's been a crazy year preparing for this. i've worked every day for the past 12 days, mostly 10-12 hours.. i'm deadbeat tired.

i have no idea what's been happening this past week. both in the kpop world and the not so normal world.

i took a nice hot bath, i'm going to take a giant sleeping pill and sleep in and relax this weekend.

p.s. my pay check is going to be awesome next week. not only overtime, but back pay and a raise!

How are you hurting them? I guess I imagine a fancy digital camera, and maybe moving lights around, but in my mind you mostly work outside. But I think static photography, but you talk about editing, so do you also do lots of video? do you want to go work for someone else? I am find the freelance thing stressful. Like, I'm basically off all of December, HUZZAH, but also, f-ck bills bills bills.

but I have also been using the time to pursue avenues to help me go abroad, including schools, and so I have exams and shit I'm working on. Change is f-cking scary man. Has Brexit influenced your thoughts of Scotland (and whether it might move independent?)
