'why did i love you?' and 'stand by u' win an award

Mr. Shinjiro Inoue who composed both, "Why Did I Like You?" and "Stand by U" in 2008 and 2009 respectively, has won the "best composition" award in the Japan Record Award (Taisho) for two years consecutively due to these 2 songs. Mr. Shinjiro Inoue, however, thanked Tohoshinki and confessed about being a fan of Tohoshinki.

Japan Record Award (Taisho) was held in TBS on the 29th January 2010. Mr. Shinjiro Inoue said that meeting such a talented artist like Tohoshinki is the biggest honor as both a composer as well as a fan (He is also Bigeast ^^)

Mr. Shinjiro Inoue is also a singer himself and even interestingly asked the fans of Tohoshinki, "Can I sing Stand by U in the future?" To which, Bigeast replied enthusiastically, "yes".

Some of Toho's best works, so yay! Seriously, I sometimes think that why Toho tends to not get your usual J-pop fare from local composers is because of their vocal capabilities which allows these same composers to test and break their own boundaries. So kudos to you, Shinjiro-san!
