It's been more than half a year so we decided that it was time for a new layout!
Requirements:
~ The tags are staying on the side for easy reference so you'll have to work around that
~ Side bar needs to stay
~ Layout should have some #f3a7e2
~ It has to work on ALL browsers: Firefox, IE, Opera, Safari, Chrome etc
FAQ
1. Can we not use LJ's layout schemes?
Yes. OMNTD has a paid account so we can fuck LJ and use our own HTML and CSS tables and do whatever the hell we want.
2. Do we have to do the HTML from scratch or can we use premade HTML?
You can do whatever you want. If you work better from the premade HTML, then by all means go ahead. :)
3. Does the header need to have a celebrity on it?
No. It is not necessary to have a celebrity on it. But do remember that the layout will be there for as long as we decide to have another layout contest. Enough of Sohee :(
4. Is there any particular minimum width requirement?
It is not set in rule. The current one is 570px wide for posts jsyk.
5. Must we put the gross colour #f3a7e2 in the layout?
Yes.
6. Does the pink have to be on the entire layout or on just the lettering for the header or what?
It doesn't matter. As long as we see some pink. Everything else can be black except the font, it's still okay.
7. If we do not meet the requirements, will we be automatically disqualified from the contest?
Yes.
8. How will I know if my layout works on all browsers without fucking up?
Different people use different browers and computers. You may ask around for people with different browsers to help you test it out preliminary.
9. I have many ideas flowing through my brains rn. Can I submit more than one layout?
Of course! The more the merrier.
Members may leave suggestions to what the new layout should look like and/or questions regarding this exciting event. Contestants may look into the comments and see what the general feel and consensus of the comm are.
Please submit a screencap of your layout & links to a test journal (if there is one) to omonamods@gmail.com with your username included by 24 March 2010.
The mods will review all submission and pick their top 5 to be voted on by the members.
Winners will be chosen by a poll.
