(G)I-DLE's Soyeon to perform at the League of Legends World Finals Opening Ceremony

Riot Games recently announced their new line of music group skins under the name True Damage. The hip-hop group is founded by K/DA's Akali, represented by Soyeon on stage. The single is called 'Giants' and the other artists announced in this video are: Becky G, Keke Palmer, DuckWrth, and ThutMose. It is not currently stated which champion each artist represents, and it likely won't be revealed until the opening ceremony performance. Finals will be held in Paris this year.

For those interested the champions included in this lineup are Akali, Ekko, Qiyana, Yasuo, and the newest released champion Senna (Lucian's wife). Fun Fact about this line, Louis Vuitton has collaborated with Riot Games to create a Prestige Edition of Qiyana's skin using items from the 2020 collection. (G)I-DLE also posted a teaser on Twitter of Soyeon in the studio a couple days ago.

To clarify the first 3 artists announced in the video, Cailin Russo, Chrissy Costanza, and Valerie Broussard are performing the main League of Legends singles. Each year RiotGames releases a main single for Worlds for example last year's RISE, or Warriors by Imagine Dragons (the beginning of the trend). Cailin Russo and Chrissy Costanza will be performing this year's Worlds single 'Phoenix' and Valerie Broussard will be performing 'Awaken' the single released at the start of the ranked season of 2019 earlier this year.

oh wow! I have some friends who are huge LOL fans (game addicts) and some of them became (G)I-DLE fans after seeing Soyeon in the Worlds last year. I hope its another amazing song like pop stars!

Chrissy Costanza is definitely a name I haven't heard in a long long time. I just remember her voice being way too rock-ish for me (punk? rock? alternative? I have no idea what her genre is I'm uneducated)

Her band Against the Current recorded the 2017 Worlds single 'Legends Never Die' and it was a massive hit in the LOL community so it's not surprising Riot got her for another single/performance. It seems the more rock-y songs fit the fans, previous EDM songs like 2016 Zedd's Ignite are not received nearly as well lol

Edit: Her band is considered alternative/punk rock, not sure about her solo work though
