Happy Friday! Everyone get their fill of Halloween candy? I’ve actually avoided candy all week. A bunch of chili cheese dogs though. Every week I check out the charts for this day in the past and post the top three songs. Then I pick out two more from the top ten as honorable mentions. This week, we are going back to the 1st week of November, 2013. All the songs have been posted before, so we’ll see some live stages.

#3 T-ara “Number 9”
Starting off the weekend with this bop courtesy of the ladies of T-ara! I’ll always love that damn robot voice lol. Here they are at SBS Gayo that year. They look really pretty, and the styling with the dresses make them look like Disney princesses lol. I don’t remember this hair on Eunjung though.

#2 Shinee “Everybody”
Fan chants sound so good omg! I remember this era mostly because of the choreography. It looks so exhausting lol. I’m tired just watching, and I can’t believe they did it live over and over again for broadcast. Actually, I can believe it because it is Shinee.

#1 IU “The Red Shoes”

I remember this being such a big hit for her. I never got into this song, which I find weird because it has a lot of things in it that I do like. But I’m still not into this. This time, let’s check out the performance MV for the song. Didn’t even know there was a dance version until this week.

Honorable Mentions

#8 G-Dragon “Crooked”
Like, this isn’t my favorite solo from him…but I’ll always sit through the entire song and/or the MV and love it every time. It’s a good song to sing along to, and apparently it’s a crowd favorite too. I heard it a lot during the Pyeongchang Olympics lol. Here’s his comeback at Mnet. The backup dancers are the trainees who were on that YG survival show around this time, and would later become Winner and iKon.

#9 Block B “Very Good”

This song was the first release for them at Seven Seasons, and it would debut at #1. This is always the first song I always think about when I think about the group. Here’s their comeback stage, and it’s really good…so much energy! Fan chants sound really good here too!

Unpopular? opinion but I've always preferred Number 9 to Sugar Free

I like "Very Good" a lot! And this cover from Pentagon Maker (Pentagon pre-debut) is my favorite

I wish they stayed together. I feel bad that not so many people know that Taeil is such an amazing singer and that U-Kwon is an exceptional dancer.

man these flashbacks definitely gives you an insight of how far kpop has come. like the quality of stages and outfits are crazy now, not to mention choreo is more rigorous. if a girlgroup tried that #9 choreo today they would be called lazy.

t-ara did deliver some crazy good bops though, and they went through that era of just making like 3 different types of MVs. Omg and i also remember when they blew up they were considered rivals of SNSD

I miss T-ara's three movie length MVs era lol. It was truly my favorite time as a kpop fan. They truly delivered so many great songs too but yeah, some of their dancing was lacking.

Number 9!!!! Love that song! No 3 rank is pretty high considering the scandal they had, I’m glad it did pretty well

Everybody is one of my favorite Shinee songs, and Very Good is the only Block B song I really acknowledge lol. I was like hey, this group is interesting! And then nothing, I lost interest fast. It’s for the best I didn’t get attached since I can’t stand Zico

Though it's impossible now for me to watch it and not think of the updated version. :(

On a lighter note, I still smile at the practice video when Onew said his arms flew off once and he picked them back up.

Lastly, I'm sure I'm not the only person to have wondered how the Black Eyed Peas didn't sue G-Dragon for copyright infringement.

Haha, maybe they were feeling generous.

Number 9 still slaps! Definitely one of my fave eras from them! I'm still so bummed about what happened to their careers.

The choreo for Everybody remains insane. I'm tired just watching them dance omfg lol XD

I wasn't into IU at that time but I do remember the era. The song is catchy and I liked the styling.

Crooked and Very Good are always so high energy to watch. I may not be the biggest stans of either of them but I can appreciate them as performers.

Block B I remember when the Video came out for this I didn't know who they were and I kept watching the video over and over because I wasn't sure what I was watching, and the more I watched the more I loved the song!

Shinee's Everybody I still watch the dance practice video from time to time, just love the Choreo for it and the song, and I still laugh out loud about Onew when he is talking about his arms during it!

G Dragon I remember hearing crooked but I never saw one of the stages (I didn't watch the music shows that often back then only the groups I really liked). This song was fun and enjoyed trying to figure out who was who in the backup dancers :)
