NOTE: I'm using full episodes count instead of the half episodes

PLOT: Eun Dan-O (Kim Hye-Yoon) is a student at a prestigious high school. Her family is wealthy, but Eun Dan-O has a heart disease. Her fiance Baek Kyung (Lee Jae-Wook) attends the same prestigious high school. She likes him a lot, but he does not like her at all. Suddenly, Eun Dan-O has short-term memory loss and she can see what will happen in the near future. She gets confused by her symptoms. Then, Jin Mi Chae aka Dried Squid, from the school cafeteria, tells Eun Dan-O that she is a character in the comic "Secret" like everybody else there. Eun Dan-O learns that her character is not even a main character, but rather an extra and she doesn't have much time to live. With her newfound understanding of the world she inhabits, she is determined to find true love in her own plot-line and circumvent the author’s plans for her character by utilizing the flashes of storyboard she alone is able to see. One day, she falls down the school stairs. She feels her back touch the back of another student, among a group of male students. Her heart suddenly starts to flutter. Eun Dan-O wants to find the male student who made her heart flutter. She eventually finds the student (Ro Woon) and he is her classmate. He is a character that doesn't have a name only known as Character Number 13. They get close and Eun Dan-O names him "Ha-Roo."

We get a glimpse of how the writer makes his/her comics and how this is affecting the characters making them self-aware. Also, Kyung is making me confused! I'm not sure if I should like his character or hate him. Dan Oh my girl...please continue to be strong!

i haven’t managed to catch up yet (i’m still on episode 8) but ugh i miss haru’s wavy hair. i get that it’s probably to signal his character change but rowoon just looks better with the wavy hair.

and i was interested to find that people aren’t into the acting. it’s pretty much as cheesy as i expected, and i do find that the acting improves as the characters awaken, bc they’re not bound by OTT lines and exaggerated movements (wtf was that cheering a few eps ago when namjoo’s mother arrived at the school? lmao).

anyway, i’ll come back to edit or add another comment tomorrow once i’m caught up. i’m really enjoying it, and dan-oh has made me cry a few times in the past few episodes, which is always a sign that i’m getting into something lol

I agree that Rowoon looks better with wavy hair! It just makes him look.....softer? If that makes sense. He is such a puppy. When he smiles at Dan Oh, I melt.

This week's episodes (especially the Thu ones) left me a bit unsatisfied, there was some character development but not much plot, especially in regards to their past, the writer, etc. It might be because I've been reading too many discussions and theories, but it felt like waiting and waiting for them to slooooowly figure it out but not figure it out completely still. A lot of filler and teases for the next episodes.

Best scene for me this week was the one Dan Oh and Haru can't escape their stages and have no option to get to each other or even contact each other, that's terrifying and was done really really well. Especially with Haru running and running, but never making it far. Gosh, I almost started crying right there.

(Also, YAY, Juda is becoming aware, i lobe it! We will probably not get boss!Juda, but everything is better than her beige candy-self on stage. I also really really liked how they switched up her motivations for staying close to Namjoo, no it wasn't love, it's her feeling indebted and maybe even worried that he could make her life worse if she isn't at his beck and call.)

And, I started to find Namjoo a lot more handsome ever since someone said he's a new Kang Dongwon look-alike!

Not too much happened in these two episodes, but I enjoyed the cuteness between our two leads. Lots of squee-worthy scenes. The scene where Haru lays down besides Dan Oh while she's asleep on her desk and he grabs her hand and asks why she was being so shy that day? I dieddddddddddddd. Hahhaha. And when he grabbed her hand (the first time) and the water splashing scene! I also liked how they included the name of the drama into that one scene about the word "extraordinary." It was sad when they couldn't see each other for like a month, but that reunion was sweet.

Baek Kyung confuses me. I'm sure he confuses himself, too. Hahah. I did feel bad for him when he immediately felt bad for saying that hurtful stuff to Dan Oh on stage and wanted to explain himself, though. Are we going to learn more about his step-brother, I wonder? He's self-aware, as well, right?

I feel like we still have a lot more to cover (like Jin Mi Chae's boo) and Nam Joo's mom and how Haru knows her, and am not sure if the last 6 episodes are going to be able to wrap things up in a satisfying way. Gimme a season 2, please!

As we more and more flashes to the other storyline I keep getting a bad feeling. No spoilers since I really don't know what is going to happen but I just feel like something bad happened to our heroine in the other storyline and if so I don't want it to happen in this storyline! Also I liked when we have other characters who are becoming aware, it's nice to see how they are acting outside the "stage".
