You can watch on VIU | Dramanice

Only one episode aired last week. This drama is moving on a nice speed storytelling-wise and a lot were revealed in the last 2 episodes. And I'm still enjoying Nokdu and Dong Joo's bickering!
NOTE: I'm going to be using full episode count instead of the half episodes. This post is for last week and this weeks episodes.

When that Yool Mu twist happened, omg i was screaming. I did NOT expect that at all, especially since he is a character that didn't appear in the webtoon. So I thought he was just your normal nice second lead, but this omg.

That last ep was so good. I'm always getting antsy when they don't give KSH anything to do (i got burned hard with Ruler)!

I've been watching the last couple of eps unsubbed because I was too impatient to wait, so I'm probably missing a lot, but I wonder how much Dong Ju knows about the real Yool Mu? I guess she knows that he's the King's nephew since they were engaged (which also throws up the question who Dong Ju's family was that their daughter was engaged to a prince), but did she know of his real character and ambitions? She didn't seem that shocked about him wanting to kill Nokdu and his evil!eyes later...

Also, the tonal shift of the drama between the light-hearted bickering and comedic scenes to men killing the whole widow's village is a bit much for me, I'm kinda shocked they showed it at such a length and brutality tbh.... i thought this was a romcom!! (ok, i remember the director talked about melo too, but still, i didn't expect this level of death!)

i am also very curious to see more of yoolmu and dongju's backstory - in the last episode he was so open about his true, evil intentions that i can't believe that she wouldn't have known his character.

also, thanks to your tips on where to watch dramas i'm able to watch this one, so thanks again!!

Echoing everyone else's comments tthat the political plot has me confused. It doens't help that I can't tell all 500 old bearded ministers apart either. Yol Mu's character being a dickhead didn't surprise me but jesus, seeing the village burn broke my hear

Congrats to Yoolmu for being a more interesting character than I thought I guess. But wooooow that 180.

sooo many twists to this story! i didn't expect yool mu to go all crazy eyes suddenly, the sudden sort of betrayal of hwang tae... and this is all making me not too sure about nokdu's identity. but it definitely keeps it interesting, because there's no clear good and evil.

i also struggle with the sudden change in tone, especially the raid of the widow's village :( hoping the virtuous women's brigade or whatever cute name they had for themselves survives because i loved them in the story

jang dongyoon in this show though... constant heart eyes.

yeah my instinct says the same! for some reason i can't imagine this drama ending with nokdu's ascension of the throne, it also doesn't fit his character imo. but i'm hoping we'll get to see more of hwangtae's character then, to get more of an idea of what kind of king or prince he would be

right! when that was mentioned in the drama's subtitles i immediately googled him - it's so fun to see how this show really keeps the viewer on their toes! usually i kind of have an idea what will happen in dramas but now i'm really clueless lol
