TVXQ’s tenth full Japanese album “XV” topped Oricon’s weekly album chart (for the week from October 14 through 20) with 155,000 copies sold in its first week of release, making it the duo’s eighth time topping the chart. Oricon, Japan’s largest music statistics site, announced that TVXQ has now become the sole foreign artist with the most No.1s on the weekly album chart. Previously, TVXQ jointly held the record with BoA.

it's so impressive how they've managed to get so big and stay big in japan, same with BoA.

japanese fans are extremely loyal and, with Johnny's around and such, they are pretty used to groups lasting long, they are used to supporting a group/idol for a long time and i love that so much i'm really proud of them (and jaejoong, too)

yes i absolutely agree, Japanese fans are soooo loyal and much more forgiving, they are also not as harsh as knetz - yes they bully, but not to knet extent i feel like, of course there are crazy fans but that's a given for every fandom
japanese fans have a... idk, more family-like mindset? they love supporting and growing TOGETHER with someone in stead of "OPPAAAAAAAH!!!", i think that's the difference as well
if you look at Johnny's Entertainment, they have fans from all ages, from children to elderly people and i love that so much, of course most of them are in their teens and 20s, but i hear so often that people go with 3 or even 4 generations to a concert (from arashi or news, for example), i think that's a big difference, they don't mind age so much and they just like seeing and supporting someone as part of their life and not as something temporary until something "newer and fresher" comes along

i agree, you can think of suju whatever you like but i'm so happy they won something, it's so rare for 2nd gen idols to even get a win on a music show these days because their sales can't beat rookie groups anymore (even though they sell really well) - i would love to see tvxq return and win again, but i can really see why they mainly promote in Japan, same goes for groups like 2pm and KARA members - i felt so much pride when i recently saw Jiyoung guest on VS Arashi (extremely popular show) with her drama/movie cast members and i can really see why Hara and Nicole are also trying out in Japan these days because they are so much milder, kinder and forgiving
