Ever since Dance The Night Away their choreography has become much more elaborate and more physical. Twice always has great stage presence imo but they’re now up there with some of the choreography queens in kpop, that’s an awesome development :)

Date: 2019-10-03 06:34 pm (UTC)They're so in-sync and this choreo is so good! I had to admit, it took me a while to adjust to their formations being built around 8 people instead of 9. In some formations, they have to have one member stand behind the member that's in the center, which bothers me.

Yes, and while I only follow them casually, I feel like this type of song came in the perfecto, most needed moment for them and the fandom. Hope all the girls and all of you are able to cheer up, and for them to have a long break soon!

I’ve gone through a lot of changes since I first started following Twice from debut so the song is really sentimental to me (and obviously the members!).

I also reaaally liked their Show Champion outfits (excluding Sana’s) bc most of those dresses look like something I’d wear. And yeah, a lot of the time it seems like the stylists don’t know what to do with a Jeongyeon.

Like the black and silver outfits on Music Bank are some of the ugliest I’ve ever seen Twice wear, like it’s tacky but not in the way I like 😅 dahyun’s especially looked like a dress in the homecoming dress section at Kohl’s or JC Penney
I’m ready for Twice to get new stylist(s) tbh. Sana almost always gets a short dress, Dahyun a feminine frilly dress, I feel like it’s getting predictable for a lot of the members.
And Jeongyeon.....I see a lot of fans complaining how she gets the ugliest or least interesting outfits. I wonder if there’s enough complaints being sent to the people running Twice to expect any changes.
I have two theories why she’s getting shafted regularly when it comes to outfits
- Jeongyeon seems more modest in general, so she might not be comfortable in revealing clothes so she prefers outfits like the ones she wears on stage
- I watched clips from Twice’s debut....Jeongyeon has gained a little bit of weight. And I literally mean a little. She is still thin. But she has slightly broader shoulders and her waist isn’t tiny like other members. She doesn’t have a petite frame - and that’s ok!! Also since she’s going for less androgynous looks, whoever styles her might be kinda lost. But it’s super simple - she has a great body, she can wear anything just like the other girls.

Like you said, Sana is always in dresses, Dh girly -almost school-girl-like outfits, Mina exposed shoulders, Momo exposed stomach. Jeong ugly blazers/blouses.. and so on. They rarely change it up.
I believe fans made their feelings well known by trending sth about a stylist change twice in Korean and once in English. Nothing changed tho

Date: 2019-10-04 02:35 pm (UTC)I feel like people are trying to dance around it but the reason Jungyeon is being done dirty this era is because she’s gained weight and their cordi doesn’t know what to do. So they’ve been styling her in potato bags in an attempt to hide it but it’s had the opposite of effect. It could also be that Jungyeon herself might be feeling insecure about it and has requested to be styled this way.

They’ve been praised for being great performers for a long time but as far as I can remember they were always criticised for their choreography being “easy” and they were never acknowledged as great dancers in their own right (apart from Momo and Jihyo). But yeah, this year they reaaally kicked up the choreo several levels, and their music is more mature in a way that’s still so distinctly Twice. To say I’m proud is an understatement. ^.^

Date: 2019-10-04 04:57 am (UTC)Their most intense choreo is Boombayah which was their debut so I don’t blame blinks for being mad at how their choreo peaked so early and now has arguably regressed. I haven’t tried dancing to KTL yet but DDDD was really easy (which is probably the point since fans can easily learn it) but a lot of fans say KTL recycles a lot of moves from DDDD soooo.... yeah. :/
