BTW, why tf does english quoting work like that??? I was like mad trying to find the rest of the quote since it ended in a comma so I was like you cannot end in a comma there needs to be more until I realized it's english and that comma was not part of the quote alfnlsidunaksjd

I don't see the comma/quote you're talking about, sadly, but you can end a quote with a comma on the inside, depending on the source material, or the outside, depending on the structure of the balance of the sentence. Or no comma, depending on those factors. There are rules that control/explain it, though they're no longer hard and fast rules. The rules are currently loosey-goosey, though, due to the internet both democratizing formal English and allowing different English speaking countries to interact more easily, mixing up our rules/spellings. Well, and the fact that the several historical languages making up English have some grammar rules that conflict.

I bet you didn't really want that answer, lucky you. Blame the fact that I have been watching historical documentaries while drinking wine. Saturday night date night!

It's the one I put on the post, in the source it ends with a comma.

I just don't understand why would you put things inside a quote that are not there to begin with. Like when you use a quote at the end of a question and you put the question mark inside the quote. The original quote is not a question. Why would you do that? It just makes jo sense to me. Nevermind me this is just my usual ranting of why it is stupid and why I refuse to use it

Yeah, I don't think there is a logical or good reason.

In America, it is the norm to put commas and periods inside the quotes. The publication is probably American or American trained. Periods and question marks depend on the context. Apparently the Brits do it differently. We are taught in school to put them inside, and we're not really given an explanation. In academic writing, we are sometimes taught to place the comma or period inside or out depending on if it belongs to the quotation conceptually or not. (I.e. in legal writing I vary depending on what I'm writing.)

As you're not American, try to ignore the little quirk. I mean, in my home state itself, half the state inserts "the" before a freeway name, and half doesn't. "Get on the 101" v. "Get on 101." So, ya know...

Regardless of what I think of their personal dancing styles they're all incredibly captivating performers. Just wow. I can't believe I'll be seeing them live next week!!!!

Ten spelling his name with body...the balance and control. I'll never get over it. He's such a sensual? dancer. I really hope he gets an R&B solo eventually.

Ten was the only one who knocked it out of the park. Kai and taemin both have done better. Also why tf did they make taemin dance to dubstep instead of something more of his current solo style. this project is turning out to be more nct 127 then I wanted.

I love how they were able to showcase their preferred genres of dance.
It really highlights how different they are as dancers but also similar in aspects.

Glad they're not all dancing together yet, my heart & body isn't ready for that...

i dont like how this was shot overall. the lighting was poorly done and you can tell they were trying to go for a narrative but the visuals dont flow together at all. kai's set was the only one where the visuals and performance seemed to match up but for a 3 person teaser, it falls flat.

kai did the best overall IMO. just the way he MOVES, goddamn.

taemin's felt really short to me? i really liked how kai went from the darkness with taemin into the light and then color changing

i liked kai's best, but they were all great and having seen them all dance solo in the past, i just want to see the group dance together already pls

the way this was filmed sucked so bad. i wanted to see ten's whole body movements, just cutting him off at the top was an awful choice.

i've never paid much attention to exo over all these years so i didn't know kai could dance in that style so well, i was really surprised at how great he was.
