I was quite surprised when I heard this, it sounds different from his old stuff? It's not a Boytoy track nor even a rap track! I like his singing voice?

The full album (titled "Mirrors" I think??) will be released later but I'm not exactly sure when...

This is a step in the right direction I think! His voice sounds a little constipated, like chad Kroger of Nickelback's. I want to give him some Metamucil so it clears up tbh. Liked the MV and the verses a lot, the chorus wasn't very catchy to me. He's handsome though and I'm impressed by anyone who is fluent in so many languages.

At least he's singing, but jesus is that some YG level voice fuckage. There are still several elements that are just like

JACKSON STOP WORKING AGAINST YOUR NATURAL STRENGTHS.

He is not some tough, inspiring, hep hap whatever. Can he not sing and use lyrics that reflect that he may actually be a nice, hard working, decent person? That story is STILL inspiring, especially since he's beautiful.

I remain disappointed, even if this is loads better than his rap dung.

This is how I feel. He's not a songwriter and that's fine, but there are too many wannabe rappers who default to the most paint by numbers lyrics and think that rapping is easy because you don't have to necessarily have singing chops, which resulted in all his previous releases so far.

I know I've beaten this to death but we have heard him actually sing and he'd at least be decent at it with proper practice. If this is what he actually wants to do then more power to him but it just feels like this is his "style" now because it's popular but it's completely devoid of any personality because it doesn't feel authentic.

(Ftr this is pretty much also my opinion on 24K's Corey/Corbyn. I've seen him live and he actually can rap, his lyrics are just garbage lol)

I mainly wanted to hear what others non Jackys (Jackies?) only thought about this. I have very little comment myself except... at least it's a short song? The title and the lyrics are so dramatic, but I don't really feel anything.

Me too, I actually thought this would get more comments lol. I guess omona finally ran out of fucks to give for his music.

The lyrics remind me of the poems I used to write as a teenager. Very dramatic and "poetic" but there wasn't really any cohesive message or story behind it, because I used "fancy" words to mask that I didn't have anything real to say really. That's why the lyrics actually come across impersonal to me.

Well, I actually kinda liked his singing voice at least, despite what others say lol.

I think the song is better than his other output, and if it was someone else with a smoother voice I would enjoy it, but I'm not sure I could really relisten to this often.

I was expecting the worst and ended up pleasantly surprised. The MV actually looks pretty cool too. Now we just need to work on that singing voice and we'll be in business!

Liked it much better then his other stuff. I really couldn't listen to his other songs. But at least this one sounded much better.
