i love love this album! i'm not sure if it's just recency bias but this could definitely become my favorite album of theirs, it's at least on the same level as fancy you for me. the production is beautiful and a natural transition to their more mature sound and concept because it still feels very twice to me
their vocals are really pleasant on every song, i'm glad they left the overly cutesy baby voices for sana and momo behind.
rainbow reminds me a lot of a rupaul song especially the chorus. i could imagine them playing this during the walks on drag race lol.
trick it is by far my favorite which i didn't expect from the teasers, followed by 21:29 and love foolish.
get loud is probably my least favorite right now but i can see it growing on me. and breakthrough is an amazing song but i'm just so used to the japanese version that it's weird listening to it
The Fancy mini was soo good with lots of great B-sides and this mini is too!! 21:29, love foolish, and trick it are the faves! Love Foolish is esp good, what a hook. Still don't really love rainbow (sorry Nayeon) but I don't hate it and I could see it growing on me. Twice's music this year has really been good! Very little filler b-sides, very solid and consistent minialbums. I was disappointed with the Yes or Yes comeback so I'm really glad Fancy/Feel Special were super good in comparison.
And I'm glad that they don't have the girls singing in such high registers as much as before though they still sing kinda high. I feel like more kpop groups in general (girl groups AND boy groups) can learn from this. Let those lower registers shine! I remember reading an interview with some music producer saying they push groups to sing in higher registers because it makes the song "stick out" more (I think they used WG singing in lower registers for Irony and not being super successful and then going super high for Tell Me and getting their first hit as an example).
ia with everyone that Korean breakthrough is hard to get used to lol. I feel like some companies are better at the Korean-->Japanese and Japanese --> Korean song modifications- DSP used to do it super well for Rainbow and Kara- but JYP's is just kind of meh.
Feel Special: The song overall is a good song, the line distribution is fresh and fair (sth they've almost never had) and the lyrics are just wonderful. The rap tho...terrible. It doesn't ruin the song, thank god, but it's noticeable. Other than that a solid title.
Rainbow: I didn't like this after the first listen, was planing to delete it right after. Gave it a second chance and thought wth was I so against it?Defiantly not the best in the mini, but it's not bad. I love the chorus. It's a fun song.
Get Loud: hmmm.. again with the preview raising my expectations too high. I was anticipating this one the most out of the mini, but it was a bit flatter than I expected. I love it still, those instrumentals are so freaking good, and it's a contender for the best song in the mini, but I wanted it to BANG stronger. idk how to explain my thoughts tbh.
Trick It: It's quirky, and kinda messy but that doesn't ruin the song at all. I absolutely LOVE Mina's and Sana's parts. Like seriously love them. But again with the rap -____-
Love Foolish: I like it a lot. I feel like I've heard something similar a long time ago, but I've no idea where/when. Chaeng's part and Momo's rap are the best parts for me. Tho I've no idea what the lyrics mean? idk if the translation is bad or the lyrics are a mess..?
21:29: I don't like ballads much, but this ones lovely. Twice has a few really nice ballads and I think this one fits well with the rest of them. Everyone sounds so good in this. Their vocals are soo soothing. Nayeon & Tzuyu especially.
Breakthrough Kor Ver: I like the original much better, but if this means we get to see them perform the full song live I'll take it.
Overall, the quality of their albums is seeing an improvement, and I appreciate that. To struggle to name a favorite b-side is not sth I'm used to with Twice.
Get Loud, Trick It, and Love Foolish are the best for now. Trick it having the edge for now.
So far this is a typical Twice album for me - the bsides are nice but are they worth saving to my playlist? Ehhhhh I’m not sure yet. Feel Special though has easily made my top 5 Twice songs, if not #1
In Rainbow, I saw a translated line saying ‘sometimes I’m afraid but I look at the wide world, focus on you, don’t lock yourself up - trust yourself and run’ 😍😍😍 the whole song is really motivating! I’d say Rainbow and Love Foolish are the closest to being saved so far, Get Loud possibly too

this is easily my favourite twice album ever. :D i really like all the songs. 21:29 sounds like red velvet song but I mean that in a complimentary way!
JYPE has taken a big step forward this year production and song curation wise imo
Rainbow's chorus feels a little too crowded, but otherwise it's a fun track and I love the lyrics, very motivational !
Get Loud is a bop ! Not the most memorable of their bsides, but certainely I'll play over a lot because it has a lot of energy to it. Loving the lower registers on it too
Love Foolish and Trick It are both quirky and interesting, I love all the changes in the songs. Again, nice lower registers ! Fancy You was already a good direction, and now Feel Special solidify it. They all sound much better in ranges they're comfortable singing in
21:29 is a beautiful ballad
Breakthrough is great but I like the original version better.
Overall, it's such a strong follow-up to Fancy You, which was already amazing to me! It still feels like Twice, but they've matured their sound (and singing style!) a lot. It works really well, I'm really satisfied.
Their last two albums have slaaaaayed. I love this one too. I like that they included the Breakthrough song bc that one was great. Get Loud was my fave.
