On September 3rd, 2014 - the car transporting the group Ladies Code was involved in a brutal crash that affected the whole group and took the lives of two beautiful young women. EunB was declared dead on arrival and RiSe was taken to the hospital in critical condition. On September 7th, 2014 it was announced that RiSe had passed away. Since this week it'll be 5 years since we lost these two amazing girls, and I wanted to make a little celebratory post for them as I really miss them :(
Under the cut I included fancams and their last performance together. It's great quality and it highlights well how both girls delivered on stage. It's even sadder knowing hours after this performance would be the awful crash.
Please share some of your favorite memories of the girls!

Date: 2019-09-04 02:45 pm (UTC)RiSe was my first true bias and this whole thing was just unbearably sad. I remember that last video of the 5 of them closing out 'Kiss Kiss' and talking how they were finishing out their first full album & were choosing the title track so they could shoot the video and get things going. And OFC the Galaxy promos and how emotional that was for everyone
Frankly when it comes to LC what I care primarily about is their individual happiness over success. I just want them to get what they want and to feel personally fulfilled as much as they can be. Polaris' CEO is trash over that Clara thing the company truly handled this in what I can only call the best way possible and I'm glad the girls have each other always.

Date: 2019-09-04 03:07 pm (UTC)I really was heartbroken that day. I didn’t follow LC that much but I was just so sad. I thought about eunb and rise for a long time after that. Hearing about two young women passing away that were around my age just made me feel so empty and sad.
I hope wherever their souls have gone that they have found peace, and that I hope everyone who was affected by their passing is able to find some peace and comfort today❤️

Date: 2019-09-04 04:03 pm (UTC)This was so sad. They were way too young. And to think it was bc their manager was speeding.
The really sad thing is, I still see so many videos nowadays of idols riding in cars with no seatbelts. You would think after that they would start wearing them but I guess not.

Date: 2019-09-04 05:05 pm (UTC)i still remember the post we had here. one of the most shocking events that ever happened in kpop... i was hoping that after their accident things would change in korea, but 5 years later and managers still drive way too fast bc of hectic schedules.

Date: 2019-09-04 11:26 pm (UTC)Wow i can’t believe it’s been five years already. It doesn’t feel like it. I still remember how shocked we all were and how we waited and waited for an update of rise.

Date: 2019-09-05 07:44 am (UTC)Maybe not directly related to them but when Omona had Secret Valentine Card, I got an anonymous one using a picture from Ladies' Code's So Wonderful :) I think I still have it saved on my computer somewhere. That was really cute!
Also one of my favourite memory was probably when Wonder Girls themselves acknowlegded Ladies' Code as the new retro princess of kpop. They were on such a up-hill path, it felt like they could really get big
What happened is still such a tragedy...
They were both so close, there were so many interactions between them two :(
I'm happy Ladies' Code were given time to heal, Polaris isn't shit but at least they handled this well. I hope they could comeback more often though ; Feedback was cute but I would love to get at least a single album with bsides :( as long as that's what the members want to do of course.

Date: 2019-09-19 04:00 am (UTC)I wasn't a big follower of them, but one of my memories was their video Pretty Pretty and Hate You. I remember hearing about the accident and watching every single thing that came out after. I'm glad the girls are still making music. I can't imagine being in their position.
