Jfc JYP wtf are y’all doing???? All of the members look like they are seriously about to break down, mentally, physically, & emotionally. Their fanbase is huge, so I seriously doubt that they would lose too much traction if they took an E X T E N D E D break... but I guess that ₩, ¥, $, etc is worth more than the health of the group.

How much have they done this year, schedule-wise – (multiple?) world tours/comebacks/CF’s/ etc

I persobally like to think we all just went underground when the girls split lmao. GA is one of my favourite girlgroups ever and I will never abandon them! Don't listen to them as much anymore because they're no longer active but they have a place in my heart. Their music is the shit still. I could start listing.... shall I?

I was watching a top-ten thingy a few weeks ago and Sound of the Underground came on it! Shocked me, but that song survived the test of time. What an amazing debut song.

Same! I was a Spice Girls fan as a kid but I was in my early teens when I discovered Girls Aloud and that's when I first discovered the delight of stanning. I haven't stopped loving girl groups since.

SOTU IS AMAZING. FACTS. Not just the song but the album as a whole has aged SO well? Some tracks are obvious relics of the early 2000s (Forever and a Night lol) but 80% of the tracks still sound so fresh and new. I love the drum-n-bass inspired bits (Love/Hate!!!!) and the amazing combination of synth and guitar throughout the entire album. Also these lyrics tbh.

Looking at their entire discography, I think they delivered steady quality throughout. Obviously not all of their music/concept has aged well (WWTNS..... I love you but I have questions) but again, 80% hits. TU + OOC + the new tracks on Ten are just PEAK quality? And that's the note on which they ended? Legends only.

I wouldn't say delight, I went through a period I'm not proud of in my stanning phase >Chim..<. But same about stanning ggs, and I think it’s the right thing to do, cuz the worst you can discover about them is that they don’t like each other :p
SOTU’s album is amazing and has some underrated pops - Life Got Cold, anyone? I missed most of their earlier work (I discovered them late) so I missed anything that wasn't a title track, but I remember watching a show where they used Love/Hate as bg music and I was hocked instantly. Their earlier albums had more of a rocky sound which I love -in moderation- but that sound usually doesn’t age well imo.. but it wasn’t the case for most of their songs, No Good Advice, Girls Allowed, Mars Attack…are still good. Their sound developed like fine wine under Xenomania, their collaboration was what dreams were made of. Even their bonus tracks were REALLY good, Singapore being mt favorite.
Tho while SOTU is amazing, it's not even on my Top 3, which is an attest to the quality of their discography, Tangled Up being my undisputed #1 (I loved that album - I LOVED that tour!) WWTNS is my least favorite album by them, I don’t even like Love Machine unless it’s a live performance, so I don’t remember much of it tbh.
Honestly, while Kpop is appealing visually, and sometimes you'll find the occasional good song, it's not the same. In most cases only the title track would be nice but and the rest of the mini would be tolerable at best. The last album I loved was WG – Reboot and that was 4 years ago. Twice’s Fancy You was good as well – it’s their best imo – but I kinda got bored of it fast.

I think we all have a phase in stanning which we look back upon and cringe.... I don't know the details but be kind to yourself ;) Plus, you can recognize that you weren't at your best so that's good!

Their sound developed like fine wine under Xenomania Y E S. Xenomania were at their best with GA. Also Singapore is so good, like thats a cute song. CUTE. I love it. they definitely had alot of good bonus tracks, and their b-sides were great too. Personal favourites are Androgynous Girls (that guitar!), Crazy Fool (those synths!), Nobody but You (more dreamy synths!) and the iconic Memory of You. I also feel like mentioning my love for On The Metro here even if that was an album track and not a b-side???? Haha.

Tangled Up is my favourite GA album too, closely followed by OOC I think. Everything about TU is just THAT great. I vividly remember reading Popjustice.com every free minute I had when this album came out, and they loved GA as much as we did. Close to Love sends me each time like that song gives me such good energy?

As for my third favourite GA album - Chemistry, definitely. I also have so much love for that one.

Memory of You and Untouchable hold legend status in my books. No matter how many years goes by I still go back to listen to them regularly. Really, really amazing songs.

Same for me, it's TU followed closely by OOC. Both are filled with top songs but I give the edge to TU because of that tour and that Control of the Knife performance.

Untouchable yessssssssssssssssssssssss 7 minutes of heaven. I remember an interview where Nadine described that song as having a vibe of driving with the top down in Ibiza on a hot summer night and that's exactly how the song is. I love the guitar and the extensive instrumental parts.

I have the dvd of that tour actually??? I should rewatch it was great. CotK is another fave, I love the reggae vibe to it.

Nadine's discretion is the total opposite of mine, I think of the song on rainy, cold nights, and sitting by the fire. I suppose it's tailored to fit everyone's mood, and that's how darn good it is. And I'm glad you mentioned the 7 minutes song, because I can't stand that radio edit bs they came up with to make it radio friendly.. bfff what about that goodness isn't radio friendly?????

I hope it's "just" a repackage for Fancy You because they usually don't perform a b-side for repacks and promotions would be shorter.
Also hope that they don't rush Mina back :( having her voice if the songs were already recorded before would be cute but I hope she doesn't have to show up (even just to the music video filming) before she's ready for it

JYP really doesn’t get that there could be another case like Mina’s in the group in the future with their kind of schedule. Or they just don’t take mental health seriously like in a lot of countries. Mina’s condition is not like the flu. Her anxiety might get better but it’ll never really go away. Of course they all probably suffer from exhaustion. So give all the girls a break before it’s too late

I love TWICE and I love seeing them perform but JESUS CHRIST. Let them rest. At this rate the group will disband in the next two years because of exhaustion. UUUUUGGGGGGGGGGH this is so damn frustrating. Besides preparing for the countless comebacks, they also perform at every single festival, concert, you name. They are working even more than BTS at this point.

The thing I love most about Twice is how bright and lively they are on stage every time they perform. Fancy wasn't like that; they looked dead tried after maybe the second performance, and their promo wasn't even long.
This comeback, I feel, will be the same.
