Edit: tho I just read about him elsewhere and how he seems pretty hard on himself on finding time to work out all of his spare time and then go on crash diets before promotions so maybe not the ideal after all :/

That was one of the entertaining things about 2008 when both SHINee and 2pm debuted. They were SO different that it was fun seeing them play off each other on variety shows.

yes i agree! though i have never thought of shinee as beefy though, they are so skinny~ but they were, however, very different and super fun and STRONG/fast/talented like.. i remember that minho often got invited to running man and WOW that man can do anything when it comes to his body, he's no joke, so maybe like look-wise he's not beefy but man, shinee was, indeed, so different
i miss 2pm on variety shows, i know they are enlisted and whatnot, but i do miss them

Oh yeah that’s what I meant! SHINee were not really the “beefy” type. It was very much the “manly/beastly” idol vs “pretty boy” idol narrative back then. It changed over time obviously, but right at debut, that’s what it was.
Minho is so competitive that he wills himself to be awesome at everything. 😂

yes, that's why i love minho so much, not only is he competitive, but he can actually deliver, he has pretty much every "right" to be kinda arrogant but he's always so kind and humble or just very proud and smiley and i love that, i respect him a lot and i can really see why he likes tvxq's yunho so much, they are pretty much the same and i love that
i can actually see minho also getting a job offer in the army like yunho did
