This sounds like something off a HSM soundtrack but I genuinely love it. It has the quirky red elements but actual vocals and a good song structure. Seulgi on the roof was adorable
The girls look stunninggggg, they all look incredible. I love the styling, HUGE improvement over their last comeback. I love a cute simple look for the summer comebacks. Plus I love when each girl gets their own color, it’s because of all the magical girl anime I was raised on lol it’s so pleasing to my eyes. The chorus is fun, the climax of the song is great, and the references to their old songs were cute 👍 great MV!
The negative: ....I prefer ZZB lol. This does play it safe imo, it could’ve been more interesting. I love a summer comeback, this fulfills the quota, but I do think if a nugu/small company group put out this song, a lot of people would easily skip it since it’s nothing groundbreaking. It would be a post that would just get a few comments lol

Is it something unforgettable? Probably not. But it's nice and fun and listenable. They all look great but Irene and Wendy caught my eyes the most. Irene's shots on the swing are *chef's kiss*
I won’t even compare it to ZZB bc it’s a downgrade to the song. This is much of a bop like Twice’s DTNA was, so it is all good. The best summer release and the Umpah, umpah turned out to be really cute and I can see little kids jamming to it and it will be extra adorable.
This is super cute and I love the callback to their previous releases. However, I still prefer "Zimzalabim" – mostly because this sounds like it could have been released by any group.
also, everyone looks like they’re having fun, but Yeri lmaaaaao, sorry if I sound mean, but she looks uninterested in everything Red Velvet released after her first year or so in the group. Pink is definitely Irene’s color, Seulgi looked adorably lost in the rooftop lol, Wendy always have fun with these concepts and Joy looks mature, beautiful and still shines a bright smile even if the concept is cute.
Nah it’s not mean, it’s true. I’m not her biggest fan in red velvet but I loved her feature with Giant Pink, I think she has a lot of potential when she can do music she actually enjoys
i mean, it's fine. this is clearly following in the tradition of red flavor and power up of targeting the normies™, and i guess it could've been worse? on the first two listens the chorus strikes me as the weakest part of the song, it doesn't rly stick w me at all. my favourite part is the background "umpah pah pah ump pah pah", it's the catchiest element for me while retaining the classic rv quirkiness. it reminds me of the distorted voice in red flavor, which was one of my fav parts of that track as well lol could've done without the "rap" as well, but hey you can't get the choreo is cute but very simple and kinda disappointing. i pray for the dumb dumb choreo glory days to return

They all look great, the mv is so fun and I usually don't like upbeat songs but this has a really nice funk to it that gets to me. I love all the instrumentals/synths they've used here. The sound is just right up my alley. The verses are quite weak tho imo, especially the rapping(?) part with Yeri, Irene and Joy but even so the arrangement is quite fun and brings variety to the whole song so it's not even a negative for me. i wish it had more of that signature rv quirk. sonically, it's fine. nothing to write home about. it's palatable and easy on the ears. zimzalabim is easily gonna be the song i revisit more. they looked wonderful, the styling this concept was so on point. the choreo looked pretty meh. hopefully the live stages are more interesting. and is it me or has have rv mv after bad boy looked so budget lmao
The reversal lmao. Last time everyone complained ZZB was a mess but this time it’s too basic. Anyways, I love it! it’s so funky, shows off the girls’ vocals( those layered vocals and harmonies) and that bridge/slow down part sounds so good. They all sounded so good! Also the rap is usually awkward to me but this time it seemed to fit and switch seamlessly between the girls. Not to mention the MV was so fun and colorful. If you judge it by the standards of a summer song I think this is perfect for the summer. Something you can just have fun to and dance without thinking too much and getting overwhelmed by the song structure
