In January this year, the rapper was sentenced to two years of probation with the possibility of a six-year prison sentence in the event of a repeat offense for sexual insults against rapper KittiB in his song “Too Real.” KittiB sued Black Nut in June 2017 for the remarks in the song as well as four instances of insults during performances in 2016 and 2017.

August 12, in Black Nut’s appeal, judges upheld the initial sentence. They said, “It appears that the defendant used the plaintiff as sexual target and used derogatory and explicit language, and we have determined that [Black Nut] was fully aware in doing so that his actions were degrading.”

Black Nut had continued to plead innocence, claiming that disses are commonplace and accepted in hip hop. The judges said, “Though the defendant is claiming that as a diss in hip hop music, his actions are acceptable, we don’t believe there is a reason to make an exception for just the genre of hip hop.”

My freedom of speech philosophy is troubled by this even though women take so much damn shit it's time for men to get some. reframing it as sexual harassment (is it though? I don't know enough of the specific facts) makes me feel better
