it's vaguely ke$ha-like, the way her earlier releases were basically foist upon her and once she got control, she did something completely different. it kind of makes me feel bad for loving awoo so much when she probably wouldn't have done it if she had more power at the time

I didn't watch the video as its too long and I am lazy... But this makes me upset as Awoo is literally one of the best songs to ever have come out of Korea?? I stanned so hard for that song and sound, and it is still one of the first Korean songs I will show anyone I meet.

I guess this explains why I hated her new stuff so much tho.

Ugh yes that is what i thought watching this interview. Awoo is such a good song and even tho she was told to do it without much say, i still think she brings something so unique to it. Im not a huge fan of her new sound personally but im a fan of artists having freedom to create what they want so I'll stan her from afar.

Although I do prefer the sound of her previous music more, I'm glad she has more agency now to create the music that she wants and I like the message of her new song.

I love Awoo but lbr - tons of kpop indie girls do songs like that, it’s not all that unique. I still enjoy that type of music, but I love her new sound and that she’s so involved in it! Good for her :)
