I expected an absolute bop and was not disappointed!! DNYL was all right and Fireflies was too generic for me but this one is back to We Go Up level. Some great visual shots in there. Did they put in a dog for samoyed Jeno? Lol
Renjun's high note yesss. I thought Jisung sounded a bit odd in the two above songs with his voice changing but he sounds ok here. The rapping in Fireflies suffered from the lack of Mark imho but not this time around. 6Dream did great.
Haechan is leading us to freedom with the power of his voice alone. I feel bittersweet mark is gone but I’m glad everyone else FINALLY got to shine. I wish the boom boom part of the chorus last a bit longer. The vocals, aesthetics, choreo ugh *chef kiss* perfection. Finally sm did a cool 90’s dance crew song right
Haechan is THE star of NCT. SM better realize it. He's been the highlight of several NCT 127 releases recently and dominated this. His voice is so perfect for today's climate. (I think Renjun is technically the strongest vocalist and really great too, Haechan just has the star power.)
He was on a world tour with the other NCT unit, NCT 127. So he probably was out of the country during some of the days they shot this MV.
This has always been the case with them since their Go MV. When Mark (who graduated last yr) and Haechan (that guy who is missing in most of the dance scenes) were doing 127 scheds, some dance scenes only had the 5 Dream-only members. It just wasn't as obvious then cause in Go and We Go Up MVs, the 5 member dance scenes were either quick or shot from a wide angle.
Haechan was either busy w 127 activities, or they filmed the dance scenes when his leg was hurt. Either way, i had to rewatch to realize he wasnt there bc Ive gotten so used to him being absent oops

I too, think that they are the superior unit. Glad with the line distribution too! And no one is really useless in the group.
They could be sabotaged by SM as much as they want but you can't keep natural talent and real friendship from shining through.
They have been holding the no.1 in worldwide trends in Twitter for 3 hrs now. The MV views are frozen so far, but I believe we can pass the goal of 4M views and 700k likes in 24 hrs.

i feel like im the only person not in love with this lol I don't think it's bad by any means but i was just (and still am) obsessed with We Go Up that very little can top it for me. I'm very excited to see the entire choreo tho

ughhh just make 5dream a permanent unit sm, they have so much chemistry and they've grown so much in their singing and rapping skills they can definitely hold their own as a 5 member unit. i don't want them to split apart (but haechan shouldn't be overworked by being in multiple units either so i'd be ok with him just being in 127). and i love chenle and renjun but idk how they'd fit into wayv's already established 7 (if that's even what sm was planning to do, everyone seems to just assume but sm has proven again and again they don't know what they're doing).
basically i just hate the whole rotating units concept in general
ia except I'd go with 6Dream. I'd rather have Haechan with these boys and given the opportunity to shine. 127 already has great vocalists like Taeil, Doyoung and Jaehyun and while I don't think they have Haechan's star power there's a lot of vocalists to divvy up only a few lines to since its mostly Taeyong and Mark rapping. Plus Yuta is developing and Jungwoo can sing.
With Haechan out of dream that really only leaves Renjun as main vocal material.
hmmm i see your point but i'm torn bc i really enjoy haechan's lines in nct songs and i like his interactions with 127 members (but i'll fully admit that's bc i've seen more content feat. 127 vs dream). also this is just me being picky but i don't like even numbered/6 member groups only bc the dance formations end up having someone hidden from view behind the center front person, as you can see in their live stages for boom. i guess since they have more sm rookies training they could add more members but i wouldn't want that either lol oh well this is all just wishful thinking anyway.

give jisung a few more years of grooming + experience and he could be a great soloist. he's got everything sm loves the scenes without haechan in this music video were super obvious and bothered me so much LOL at least be subtle about it
