This season is not as stressful to me as season 2 hahaha The final 11 members is ok (picking from the final 20) but I'm willing to give up number 10 and the X position for Yuvin and Yunseong. My favorite part in this episode would be the messages from the final 20 to the eliminated trainees (I cried!) and seeing the coaches cheer so much when Hangyul and Seungyoun's names were called. Did your faves made it, Omona?

lmao he was so shocked. To be honest I was convinced he wouldn't make it once he wasn't on the 10-9-8 position. Now let me go cry in a corner because Yuvin didn't. Overall I'm pretty ok with the final line up, I was rooting for half the trainees that made it and the other half are not terrible picks.

Regarding the X trainee... is it even mathematically possible for Mingyu to not be it? Like, for half the rankings he was so far ahead of the rest...

It's so suss that Mingyu didn't make it as the X trainee. Mnet's maths has already been revealed to been contrived by people comparing the final votes and finding many if not all are multiples of the same number. I'm guessing they put him and Jinhyuk out so the inevitable JBJ-esque side group has supporters and they can make money on both groups.

Yes I'm soooooo happy Hangyul made it! Choi Young Joon was cheering the most when Hangyul's name was called. I guess they also have favorites =)

I remember around episode 2 or 3, I was convinced that he was going to get eliminated soon because of the way MNet. was editing the show and their focus of certain members/types of people.

I've never been more happy to be wrong.
Produce finally got it right for once, in my books.

They did Jinhyuk so dirty. I am still devastated. Wooseok and Jinhyuk's speech to each other was so sad. I wanted another Chaeyeon/sakura miracle but like I said in the previous post, I had a hunch that either seungyoun or Jinhyuk would get jonghyun-ed. To think the new rule was made to prevent a jonghyun but that ended up screwing Jinhyuk over instead.

If I put my bitterness aside, I find this line-up pretty good. It's missing Jinhyuk, yuvin and yunseong but I'm so happy seungyoun and seungwoo are in this. They are the pillar of this group. And I'm glad Yohan is the centre. Like I said before, I think Yohan is really charismatic and fierce, while wooseok lacks in intensity and his facial expressions are either blank or hooded eyes with tight-lipped smile. He needs to work on that. Also, his dancing is a bit too mellow/low energy for my liking.

Hangyul is the Chaewon of this season. Bless. I had lost hope when Dohyun was called as 8th. Thank you knetz for coming through for Hangyul.

I would have switched junho for yunseong, and put Jinhyuk and yuvin instead of eunsang, hyungjun and Dongpyo. I don't have anything against them. Eunsang has a pretty smooth voice but he's still awkward and Dongpyo is a good performer but he looks 12 yo. Hyungjun is a good dancer but he's still lacking a lot.  I much prefer the formers but these kids have room for growth.

During the episode, I was so glad yuvin and yunseong were centre cause they sell it the best and I wanted them to get the extra boost. I'm bummed it didn't help them in the end. Legit shocked minhee got more votes than these two tbh. Or that he was voted over jungmo.

With that line-up, I have hope that their debut song will be a real banger like To My World, U Got It or Boy.

I was already thinking that we can't have both Jinhyuk and Wooseok in the group just like in season 2 but I was really sad that Yuvin didn't make it =( He's talented and seems like a nice kid. He'd fit perfectly in the group.

I agree. He is a good singer, his dancing is good too. He's not lacking anywhere and he has such a funny personality. I read some people complaining we didn't need so many main vocalists. Well, I think seungwoo would appreciate some good backing. Seungyoun is there at least cause the guy's vocal cords would bleed from all the hard carrying.

Argh I don't get why people thinks that vocals is not important in a group. I don't share that view (hehehe BTOB is a favorite group, yes vocals is very important for me). Aside from Seungwoo, there are others in this group that are average vocalists. They can improve through time.

I am curious what will happen to Victon now. Seungwoo is their leader, right?

Yeah, they have decent enough lead and sub vocals in the lot. Still, it wouldn't have hurt to have someone like yuvin, hyeop, suwhan or Kookheon. So bummed they didn't make it to the finals.

I gotta be honest, I actually didn't know most of these groups existed before fans mentioned them. I only checked victon What Time Is It Now and that was it. Lol

I'm sure someone can step up as temporary leader. I hope seungwoo isn't the only strong vocalist of his group though. I don't know how their company manages them but seungwoo is unavailable and Byungchan is injured. They should at least wait until Byungchan is better to make a comeback.

seungwoo isn’t technically the strongest singer or rapper in victon, so while it’ll defs be noticeable that he’s gone, I don’t think it’ll be disastrous for them. I actually think him missing as a leader will be harder for them, they seem to rely on him/are attached to him quite a bit.
victon were on a frustratingly long hiatus before either of them went on produce so honestly who knows what play m is planning for them, their business decisions are always questionable.

Yeah I didn't hear about Victon for a long time! I go check their activities every now and then actually... I check NCT, SF9 and Victon's activities to see how they are doing since they had their debut same year as my Pentagon babies. NCT and SF9 released a couple of albums just like Pentagon but Victon only had 2 if I'm not mistaken.

Most of my faves made it in (except Yuvin and Jinhyuk, boo) so I'm pretty okay with the line up.

I do think the group feels pretty disjointed because you have literal children and then the hyung line ... Like ... they couldn't be more different. Idk what kind of a concept they're gonna go for but let's see. It does make me laugh that the difference between the oldest anf the youngest is TEN YEARS woah.

Also I can't @ anyone being surprised that mnet rigged this ... well d'oh, it's not the first time they did it. They were just more apparent / reckless this time around.

Anyhow, I'm really damn stoked for Yohan, Wooseok, Hangyul, Seungyoun and Seungwoo. Hopefully others will grow on me.

I don't actually watch the show but I check the results to see how my boy Hangyul did and he made it!!! So glad MBK can't send him back to the basement again for the time being. Anticipating more people to be wowed by his lower register vocals, keyboard playing, acrobatics, face and abs.

I feel like Seungwoo didn’t want to make the final lineup. He just wasn’t as excited as the others and seemed distracted?

Overall, the lineup isn’t too bad and I’m kind of surprised they’re debuting so soon (unless this is the norm for 101 groups).

before seungwoo and byungchan were cast on produce, victon were always talking about not wanting to go on a survival show and wanting to succeed together as a group so part of him probably didn’t really want to be there.
I think he’s probably thankful for the recognition but feeling kind of crap about having to leave his group for 2.5 years (!!) especially since he’s the leader (of both groups now), he’s probably feeling it a lot of things haha.

Whats worse is that even after the 2.5 years he will have to go to the army so he can't even go back to Victon if he wanted to :( someone did a post on twitter saying that because of X1 and upcoming military things Victon probably won't be OT7 until 2030...

I was so happy for Hangyul! I loved how much the trainers were cheering for him when he was called, esp the SM (?) vocal trainer... wasn’t that the same guy who was on Unnie Slam Dunk season 2 (the trainer, not Hangyul, lol)?

I may go back & watch the full ep, but honestly the absurdly long time they take announcing the names is really, really, REALLY annoying.

Can’t wait to hear what the reasoning bullshit explanation is for the suspiciously exact # of votes that were added onto the trainees scores(?tallies? votes? whatever the word is, lol)!

YOHAN IS CENTER. YES. This is all I have wanted since episode one! He’s going to be a great center. I see him doing well with any concept. /biaswhatbias

Out of the Top 20 that were left, this was almost my ideal line up. Swap Junho and Eunsang with Jinhyuk and Yuvin and I would have had it. I’m so sad that they didn’t make it, I thought Jinhyuk was a lock for sure. I have no idea what happened.

Hangyul and Minhee shocked me. I had given up hope on them both (even though Minhee got that last minute storyline). I screamed so loudly when they got called.

My two objections aside this is a pretty solid lineup! Seongwoo is a great Main Vocalist and i’m not too worried about him straining because he has Seungyoun, Minhee, Wooseok, and even Eunsang and Junho to back him up. Hangyul and Hyungjun are solid dancers,
Dohyun, Seungyoun, and Yohan have rapline covered, and Dongpyo kills it with his stage presence.

I’m also glad Minkyu and Jungmo didn’t make it. Nothing personal, I just didn’t feel that they were ready. I’m sure after more training Minkyu will be a stronger performer.

I didn't join the livestream but just like you, I am soooo happy that Yohan is the center. He deserves it. I watched his cuts from episode 1 to 11 and I was blown by how much he improves each episode. And he's got that charisma on stage that is really hard to match. I agree with you, he'll be a good center =)
