I am excited but if this is Juri's group it feels like this wil be a really short turnaround, she only came over in March or so. While she already has a lot of performance skills i would worry for her getting hate comments around her language skills etc
Anyway this teaser is cute, it feels like it could be believably Lovelyz' little sister group while still having its own identity
I don’t know a lot about Eunbi but google says she’s 23? By the time IZ*ONE disbands shell be or near 25, so I think her current group was going to be her main gig anyways unless she does solo work?
Also idk what is up with produce groups (though there are other kpop groups guilty of this too) with major age gaps, like in IZ*ONE and the newest boy group they have huge age gaps going on between the oldest and youngest geez 😬
eunbi was born in 95 so she's basically too old to really debut again. idk like if woollim had waited for her to get out of izone then she could've joined that girl group and it would be fine but now that they're basically throwing her away because she'll definitely be too old to debut next time they have a group.
i have a lot of feelings about how produce shows are actually kind of terrible for long term plans for being an idol. i mean, from what i know about eunbi she really, really wanted to be in a girl group as like her career. 2 years and she's done? doesn't sound like what she really wanted tbh
then chaewon is getting screwed over too. she's 5 years younger, but she'd probably also be too old for woollim's next girl group. i guess they could just get added into this one, but that's so messy. are they going to be a duo? two soloists?
i think its clear woollim (as with pretty much every agency, see yuehua screwing over yena by debuting everglow) have absolutely NO plan for their produce trainees.
I was curious when Woollim was going to debut a new gg since Lovelyz is almost 5 years in- they may be a group that lasts like APink or they’ll call it quits around the 7 year mark like a lot of ggs.
I feel like for a lot of smaller companies, getting their followup ggs to achieve popularity like their 2nd gen sisters hasn’t been too successful, but Woollim might have better odds as Lovelyz does quite well in general
I'm a really big fan of Lovelyz and Woollim groups in general ; I like how they're able to create their own specific signature sound and stick to it. So I'm pretty excited about this. It looks a lot more colorful/punchy than Lovelyz so I'm expecting a bright, upbeat concept like Golden Child with some girl crush elements, let's see how this turns out ! I wonder if the Izone girls will join the group or not. I am a little worried though, Lovelyz are still doing really good (even if they're not top-tier, they have a good fandom and physical sales) and I don't want them to get forgotten by Woollim because of the newer, shinier group.
