Regular English version remains superior. Honestly I love NCT's hoe anthems but this just feels mismatched, the song has a very uplifting/soaring vibe so I feel like the Korean lyrics match the vibe better than Haechan screaming he'll "make it last"
Idk what image NCT 127 is trying to promote to English speaking audiences im so confused. The conversation to explain to the non-English speaking members that the song is about sex must've been hilarious
Yet another english version of an NCT song that I'll pretend doesn't exist, welp. Maybe next time
i actually prefer the english ver of regular over the korean but this.... yeah i'll be sticking with the korean. like others in this post have said the korean lyrics fit the song a lot better.
johnny's my 127 bias and all but when he tries to be sexy/sings sexy lines it just cracks me tf up, bless his heart.
as someone who honestly doesn't care about lyrics and is more about the actual music, seeing fan twitter freaking out is very amusing. also the lines aren't that scandalous?? the thirst out there is real lol
It’s interesting that they’re making english versions when bts managed to get popular around the world without them ( most likely due to their subbing team which is one of the fastest and accurate out of all the fandoms but bighit doesn’t want to acknowledge it)
Also i feel like part of k-pop’s appeal is the fact that it’s in korean. A lot of k-pop artists already work with western producers but sometimes i want to listen to music where i don’t understand the lyrics and can just feel the emotion of the person singing. There are good lyrics in indie pop but often times the hot 100 is lacking, so k-pop is like an alternative for me lol
the disparity between their image as idols and then a song so... blatantly about sex in a car LMAO looking forward to the music video that this version brought on! but i'll be listening to the korean version. apparently this song will be released on US radio (https://twitter.com/gthot20/status/1151901148951040005?s=20) in August.
